No one knows tomorrow.

Years back I was sent to live with someone due to the financial condition of my family then.

The family I lived with was very rich, and we were four in number who were serving them as maids then; they had six children ranging from the age of three to eleven, so it wasn't easy at all.
We woke up by 3 am every day, got the children ready, and took them to school, immediately we come back we quickly went to the farm, and we would be there for almost the whole without food or water, sometimes we will have only one meal for the whole day.

At some point, I started feeling so bad about how everything was going that I cried every day, asking myself why life was the way it was.

One day I was with Chinonso who was also a maid in the house and we were discussing, Chinonso said "The fact that no one knows the future is the main reason why we should have some respect for each other* he continued "Stop crying because we won't live here forever, one day there will be a change in our lives"

I spent Three years in that miserable condition; the children did not have even a little bit of respect; they always insulted us in any way they wanted, and we couldn't say or do anything.

When things got better, I left; likewise, the other three guys who were with me then lost contact, and there has been no communication to date.

What a surprise.

On stepping out today I met with Chinonso and he looked so rich, I was so surprised because I wasn't expecting to see him, "Guy where have you been and how has life been with you"
"Hop into the car. Let's find a place to cool our head," he said.

Immediately I got into his car, and we went to a beautiful restaurant where he bought me food and drinks.

"You know I once told you that no one knows the future; always be respectful and humble in life," he said.

"Yes I can't forget so soon dear, it wasn't funny then, but how come you are this rich now?"

"After serving Mr. Ade and his wife I got an offer from someone who always comes to their house then to help him in his business, he said he noticed how respectful I had been all this while so he thinks I will make a good salesman"

"So? How did serving him make you this rich?" I asked

"There was this Mr. Kanu who always visited our shop and I never knew he was observing me, it was just a few days to my settlement, and I was just wondering how life would be for me because my boss later became something else, but in all I never disrespected him, I never acted arrogantly to customers and this is why am who I am today" He replied.

"That doesn't answer my question"

"Hahaha, just calm down; I will explain everything to you. Do you want more drinks?"

"No just tell me what I need to hear" I replied.

"The day for my settlement came, Mr. Kanu came over and told my boss to allow him to settle me, I became anxious because I didn't understand why he was there in the first place, my Boss asked why, Mr. Kanu told my boss that he has been observing me and he noticed how humble and respectful I have been all these years so I deserve a better life"

I said "Okay. What next?"

"Mr. Kanu gifted me a car and a cash check of 50 million naira to start up my own business; I became speechless, I couldn't believe what I saw, I thought it was a dream, my Boss blessed me, and that was my humble beginning."

"Hm. Are you serious? Are there still such people?"
"Our conduct never goes unnoticed by onlookers, You have been a responsible person since I knew you, and you kept to it, this is so touching" I replied.

"Do you know that one of Mr Ade's sons is serving me as we discuss?" He asked.

"How come? His father is a rich man, and they are known for their pride due to their father's wealth" I responded.

He said "What goes around always turns around, never forget that, They thought they would always have wealth and money but the case is different now, they need People's help now, and it still me that they treated like trash those days"

"Hm, please where is your business located? I would like to see Mr Ades's son and say hi to him" I said to him.

"Let's finish our drink, I will drive you down to the place" he replied.
