A Symphony of Autumn
In The Tender Arms Of An Autumn Morning ..
Where time seems to stand still .. I find myself at the edge of a tranquil lake. With a steaming cup of coffee cradled in my hands, I stand in awe, a silent observer of nature's enchanting ballet. Before me, a symphony of autumn serenity unfolds. The lake, a mirror of calm, cradles the gentle passage of geese, their movements unhurried, graceful. Each stroke of their webbed feet leaves a delicate ripple, a testament to the tranquility of this sacred moment.
A hushed fog rises .. A whispering breath from the depths of the water's soul. It caresses the surface, wrapping the scene in a soft, ethereal embrace. Like a veil of secrets, it shrouds the world in a muted symphony, blurring the lines between reality and dreams.
As the sun, a gentle artist, begins its ascent .. It paints the sky in hues of tender oranges and pinks. Its fingers reach through the sentinel trees, casting long, dappled shadows that dance upon the water's skin. Each ray a brushstroke, each leaf a canvas, creating a masterpiece that speaks of nature's infinite grace.
Beneath my feet .. The ground is a mosaic of fall's palette. Leaves, once vibrant emeralds, now wear the cloak of autumn's kiss. Reds, yellows, and browns speckle the earth, a mosaic of fleeting beauty. Each leaf, a page in the book of seasons, tells a story of transition, of letting go, of rebirth.
The air crisp and cool .. Kisses my cheeks with a tender touch. It carries with it the whispers of generations, the promise of change, the scent of earth awakening. And yet, despite the chill, there is a warmth that emanates from this scene, a comfort in knowing that nature's cycles are unyielding, that life persists in its ever-turning dance.
As I stand in this sacred moment .. I am filled with a profound sense of gratitude. The beauty that surrounds me is nourishment for the soul, a reminder of the intricate tapestry of life. It is a testament to the resilience of nature, to its ability to transform, to renew, to inspire.
In This Autumn Morning ..
By the edge of the lake,
I find solace,
I find peace,
I find a connection to something greater than myself.
It is a reminder that in the quiet moments, in the whispers of nature, there is a profound wisdom, a truth that transcends the noise of the world.
And as the morning unfolds,
As the geese continue their ballet, as the sun climbs higher in the sky, I carry this moment with me, a treasure to hold in my heart. For in this embrace of autumn's grace, I find strength, I find hope, I find a deep and abiding love for the world around me.

‘Lone Autumn Leaf’
By BDMiller
In the quiet of the park, where the colors start to fade,
A lone autumn leaf, in the breeze, it sways,
Whispers of the season, echoes in the air,
Golden memories, like sunlight in its stare.
It dances with the wind, a graceful ballet,
A solitary journey, as the skies turn gray,
Falling from the branches, a story to unfold,
A tale of resilience, in the autumn's hold.
One leaf, one soul, drifting on its own,
In the canvas of the fall, where dreams are sown,
Whispers of the forest, secrets it conceals,
In the heart of autumn, where the lone leaf feels.
Crimson and amber, a tapestry so bright,
A solitary traveler in the fading light,
Through the whispers of the trees, it softly sighs,
A song of solitude beneath the changing skies.
It flutters to the ground, a gentle descent,
Leaving the branches bare, as time is spent,
In the hush of the woods, a melancholy song,
A lone leaf's journey, where it belongs.
One leaf, one soul, drifting on its own,
In the canvas of the fall, where dreams are sown,
Whispers of the forest, secrets it conceals,
In the heart of autumn, where the lone leaf feels.
Through the rustling leaves, a melody unfolds,
A symphony of memories, as the tale is told,
In the crisp October air, the leaf finds its way,
A dance with destiny, in the autumnal ballet.
As it rests upon the earth, a quilt of gold,
The lone leaf whispers stories, ancient and bold,
A transient beauty, in the cycle of the year,
A silent witness to joy, to love, to fear.
With the fading twilight, it embraces the night,
In the arms of nature, a celestial flight,
One leaf, one soul, in the silent reprieve,
A timeless tale of autumn, in which it believes.
One leaf, one soul, drifting on its own,
In the canvas of the fall, where dreams are sown,
Whispers of the forest, secrets it conceals,
In the heart of autumn, where the lone leaf feels.
So let it rest in peace, beneath the moonlit gleam,
A lone autumn leaf, in the garden of a dream,
In the tapestry of time, where stories find release,
The solitary ballad of the lone autumn leaf.
Congratulations, your post has been added to Pinmapple! 🎉🥳🍍
Did you know you have your own profile map?
And every post has their own map too!
Want to have your post on the map too?
Thank you for adding it! 😎
Very beautiful post! Love that ballad. I feel a kinship with that leaf, as if you were writing about me. Lovely!
I couldn't help but think that first shot of the geese on the mystical lake would make a great painting of yours. I was kind of hoping it was.
Oh, for more of those moments!
Thank you for the kind words. It take sooooo long to write in this style, but the end result seems worth it, especially to accompany these photos. I love the autumn feelings.
I was thinking about a painting.. trying to capture the scene in that fashion. Stay tuned. lol. Still trying to find time to finish my Caribbean Escape, seascape painting. I'll post about that soon.
Oh good. I look forward to it.
The ballad was definitely worth the time you spent on it! I've only written one ballad, and that one took me two solid weeks to write. It's really good though, if I do say so myself. Something about writing in unfamiliar styles brings out stories you never imagined. I wish I had the stick-to-it-ness to write another one.
I find this poem very spiritual. It feels like it's speaking to me. You have a poetic style of writing and maybe you can be a professional poet! The way these poems are written are so beautiful and I am saying the truth because I'm a literature student, we examine poetic lines and structures. Yours is really amazing.
How I also wish we have autumn here. Do you know it's my favorite season to experience one day? I hope I'll get to witness it someday. Autumn also signifies the transition of rebirth, as you have written. 🍁🍂
I don't think I have the patience for it. hehe. I was thinking about how I spent the last several days working on the body of this post.. ugggg. Lots of relying on my thesaurus. The end result of a writers hard work is worth it though.. especially when I receive a comment such as yours. Thank you for that! It made my day. 😁
I have been writing poetry on and off for a long time. Sometimes I bring myself around to sharing those little pieces of myself. It is hard putting that part of myself out there. Coming from someone with way more skill than myself, it means a lot.. gives me a little more courage to share more. 😊
I too hope you get to experience Autumn one day 🤗
You're welcome! I'm just telling the truth because your poems are full of life. You have a creative mind for writing poems and you should continue doing it. My writing style is not even as clear and vivid as yours!
Thank you, manifesting I can experience autumn season one day 🍂
You are too kind. I appreciate the compliments 😁
Kindness costs nothing. 💚
Very beautiful poem, I love it.❤️
Thank you so much! I took a while to write, so it makes me happy that so many have read and enjoyed it.. as intended. 😁
Leaves, once vibrant emeralds, now wear the cloak of autumn's kiss>
Love those lines.
I connect with those sentiments you express in the blog, that is how i feel when I am with nature.
A certain trembling, awe and connection with the world around brings a sense of how beautiful yet fragile life is like the solitary leaf which comes down dancing it's final breathtaking dance of all.
Transience and beauty are the two sides of a coin it seems.
I was watching the television the other day and a commercial came on and it went something like that.. the cloak of autumn's kiss .. or something similar. It stuck with me. I thought I would incorporate whatever it was I thought I heard. Thanks for picking that out and quoting it.
I sort of regret dabbling in this poetic style of writing. It takes way too long to complete it. I keep getting the feeling that I have to change something or switch out words. ugggg... but it IS worth the effort. If nothing else for my own self satisfaction of knowing I can do it if I put my mind to it. 😊
I couldn't agree more.
It's truly worth it, each time you create paint with words you fet the same feeling of having created aa piece of art.
It doesn't matter who likes it ir not you feel wonderful deep within.
Very true, I suppose I never thought of it that way. Thanks for saying that 😊
Man, you really do live in a beautiful area. I would love to have a lake in my back yard. Nice photos!
We love having the lake right out the back door, and sometimes take it for granted. I try to remember to take a walk back there every so often.. to remember why we picked this spot to build.
I knew when I was taking those photos that a post would be coming. I am trying to get myself motivated again to write.. but it's tough. I find it helps get me out of the funk I have been in after the loss of Molly.
I told myself the other day that not every post has to be 1,000 words long. So I plan on trying to share more.. just on a smaller scale. Maybe that will help keep my connected to something I love to do.
I don't think people care as much about the long form content as they used to. I think that 350 to 750 word count seems to be a sweet spot. I try to keep mine below 1000 words, but sometimes I get a little carried away!
It is not hard to get to 1000 but I know myself that reading all that can bee a bit of a time consumer. 350-700 is my goal. I'll try 😆
A romantic place. I can feel the fall is coming in my city 😍
Yes very romantic. We are blessed to have our home here. Fall is here and I can really feel it today as I went for a coffee and saw all of the frost.
This is very soothing to read. Words can't even express how beautiful the images that accompany these magical words are. What a scarlet poet you are. Have a good one!
Awww... Thank you! 😁 I am trying to feel okay with sharing my poetry, but some days they don't seem all that good. I'm learning and growing though.
Thanks for the kind words of encouragement and the appreciation of the photos. The moment, although fleeting, was truly a surreal one.
I bet they'd be good if we, your audience read them. Hehehe.
I felt that too.😊
One poem at a time 😆
A really beautiful post! Well done!
😁 Thank you 😁
I started out trying to keep it short and sweet.. didn't end up happening. lol
This is really a romantic place. A place to express one feeling
I think so too! Thank you 😊
just a beautiful silence, wisdom, peace, love
Yes.. I do agree. All of the above 🤗
Today as the winters are coming, the weather is changing as well and the views are looking more beautiful and the way we see this place is more beautiful here. By going, a person forgets his troubles and enjoys the nature sights.
Exactly! That's the plan.. take a few minutes here and there to retreat from the world and recoup.. refresh my mind and prepare for the day ahead. 😊 The seasons are indeed changing 😍
Yeah you are right.
