The Wizard And The God Of Felines | Exploring Scale Composition - LMAC FreeStyle
Dear creative comunity,
How's it going? Hope everything's going well with you. Thank you for dropping by.
In my latest free-style collage, I've gone back to featuring cats as the main subject in my artwork. I've created a giant-sized cat and placed human objects as tiny as possible to create a contrast in the composition.
Recently, I watched a video explaining how to tell a story better through composition. One of the techniques discussed was using contrast. In this technique, you place two objects in opposition; making one appear very large while the other as small as possible. This creates a striking difference between them. The larger the main object, the more attention-grabbing it becomes.
Aside from playing with size contrast, I've also dabbled in colors here, as they play a crucial role in conveying messages in your collage. I've opted for a black-and-white scheme with a hint of yellow. Sometimes, using color can work wonders, especially if you're creating a minimalist collage, as it draws attention to the colored parts, like the butterfly wings on the cat, for example.
In the video I watched, there were at least four techniques used, and one of them was the use of contrast. This technique will be very useful for conveying messages and telling the story of your collage. I will try some other techniques in my next collage, if possible I will try to combine several techniques.
Hope you like the result.

The butterfly wings are wonderful! I'm not sure I'd want to live in a world in which giant cats ruled. 😄
Great freestyle, @bayuismail
Hahaha, me neither. But of course, the world that is ruled is the world of cats. 😸
Thanks for stopping by, @agmoore. I'm glad you liked it.
