My New Mushroom Discovery in the Backyard
The Mushrooms won't tell you where and when they show up!
I stumbled upon these mushrooms while searching for wood to support my tomato plants. Honestly, I didn't really notice the presence of this cluster of mushrooms until I ventured deeper into the somewhat dark bushes. That's where I found them growing along the decaying wood, with some of the mushrooms already starting to rot.
I thought I would see them in better condition if I had found this cluster of mushrooms earlier, but no worries, I'm still glad to have found them.
Oh look, I found a silver Polyrhachis ant hiding behind the mushrooms. It seems like mushrooms are a safe haven for small creatures to hide from insect predators.
After finding what I was looking for in the bushes, I wanted to return to my garden to tend to my plants. But look what I found, I stumbled upon more mushrooms!
This is the first time I've found this type growing in the backyard. While I often come across various types growing in the backyard, this is the first time I've encountered this one. And this one looks fresh.
I'm not sure what happened, but I noticed a slight tear on the edge of its cap.
When I found this, all I could think of was a perfectly baked loaf of bread. It's brown and looks perfectly done. Hehe. I guess it's the hunger kicking in since I haven't had lunch yet. Well, that's it for now, glad to share my findings today, hopefully I'll come across more mushrooms soon. Thanks for your time.
