Let's Make a Collage: Horror Freestyle (Mind Control)
Hi Creative Community!
It's a pleasure to once again be productive in creating and sharing my collages with you regularly. Most of the collage ideas I've come up with stem from the films I've watched. The more I watch, the better I understand the kinds of films that captivate me. However, most of the time, I find myself watching movies in the sci-fi, horror, and mystery genres. In my opinion, these genres offer more than just compelling storylines, they also provide suspense while watching, mysterious creatures, and puzzles that occasionally compel us to ponder what truly unfolds in the films we're watching.
Returning to the collage I've created this time, I was inspired after watching a film I had long wanted to see but had forgotten to do so. I watched "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" and drew ideas from it. In the film, a book possesses the ability to write stories related to the characters in the movie, not pleasant stories, but rather terrifying ones that threaten the safety of each character in the tale. This book reminded me of "Death Note", a book held by Light Yagami in the manga series "Death Note." However, in this film, the book writes its own stories.
In my collage, I also incorporated a cursed book object controlled by skull-shaped creatures that could manipulate people's minds through strange mushrooms that take over the host and transform them into zombies. Honestly, I felt a bit creeped out when I looked at the outcome of this collage, hehe. Nevertheless, I hope you can enjoy it.

It is creepy :)) Usually you feature a particular palette. I guess this has a palette, too, but dark. The red in the book really stands out.
Effective 'story telling' in your collage, @bayuismail
Indeed, I couldn't even look directly into the skull's eyes. It makes me dizzy, haha.
I use the colour palette only when I need something more striking. The use of dark colours and a tense ambience when creating a horror theme works best in my opinion.
