Reseña Clínica Musical con Wasmo Huerta ESP-ENG
Esta semana pasada tuvimos la oportunidad de compartir con @wasmohuerta en su clínica musical realizada en la ciudad de Caracas en @elhangarstudio.
This past week we had the opportunity to share with @wasmohuerta in his music clinic held in the city of Caracas at @elhangarstudio.
Al enterarnos de la realización de este evento nos pusimos en contacto con Wasmo para apoyarlo dando promoción y cobertura al evento. Rápidamente recibimos su invitación y dos pases de cortesía para nuestra fundación.
When we heard about this event we got in touch with Wasmo to support him by giving promotion and coverage to the event. We quickly received their invitation and two complimentary passes for our foundation.
Al llegar al estudio nos conseguimos con muchas caras conocidas, músicos con quienes hemos compartido recientemente en diferentes clínicas que se han realizado este año y con quienes esperamos seguir compartiendo mucho más.
When we arrived at the studio we met many familiar faces, musicians with whom we have shared recently in different clinics that have been held this year and with whom we hope to continue sharing much more.
Wasmo comenzó la clínica tocando un tema de @ohjanproject un proyecto propio formado con Johanns Steiner y Ohana Flores en donde convergen sus influencias musicales para componer música que disfrutan tocar sin aspiraciones comerciales.
Wasmo started the clinic playing a track from @ohjanproject, a project formed with Johanns Steiner and Ohana Flores where their musical influences converge to compose music that they enjoy playing without commercial aspirations.
A partir de ahí la clínica se fue desarrollando en hablar y mostrar ideas sobre su enfoque interpretativo, su visión musical, su opinión sobre la realidad musical actual, y a contar anécdotas muy divertidas sobre su proceso formativo, la relación con sus patrocinantes, y el recorrido musical que va transitando con @nacho junto a @rodpadillabass y otros grandes músicos.
From there the clinic developed into talking and showing ideas about their interpretative approach, their musical vision, their opinion about the current musical reality, and telling very funny anecdotes about their formative process, the relationship with their sponsors, and the musical journey they are going through with @nacho together with @rodpadillabass and other great musicians.
Conversó sobre la configuración de su set y las razones de la elección de las medidas de sus tambores y platillos. El desarrollo de un sonido propio, la afinación de la batería, la orquestación e implementación de ritmos autóctonos afroamericanos en la música pop, la ejecución en función a la música a interpretar, la importancia de las pistas backing track en la música actual, y muchos otros temas de interés.
He discussed the configuration of his set and the reasons for his choice of drum and cymbal sizes. The development of his own sound, the tuning of the drums, the orchestration and implementation of Afro-American rhythms in pop music, the performance according to the music to be interpreted, the importance of backing tracks in today's music, and many other interesting topics.
Realmente este encuentro fue un espacio de intercambio muy agradable que nos permitió conocer mucho más de la personalidad y realidad de Wasmo a quien no habíamos conocido en persona y que ahora es un gran pana más de nuestra comunidad.
This meeting was really a very pleasant space of exchange that allowed us to know much more about Wasmo's personality and reality, whom we had never met in person and who is now a great member of our community.
Por último, no podemos dejar de lado la asistencia del emblemático Fernando Valladares @valladaresdrums quien con sus intervenciones sumó información valiosa para todos los asistentes a la actividad.
Finally, we cannot leave aside the assistance of the emblematic Fernando Valladares @valladaresdrums who with his interventions added valuable information for all the attendees to the activity.
