Hide and Seek with God. Morning with Prayer: Twenty-Third.

Sunday morning is a wonderful time to remember the One who created the whole world around us and it all began on the first day of the week when the Word began to become flesh took on material outlines.

Glory for everything to our Lord Jesus Christ who forgave me all my sins and shed his holy blood for my insignificant life!

This morning I thought about the fact that even knowing God's mercy towards me does not deprive me of some kind of obedience, absolute faith.

Human nature makes me weigh what the Lord has already weighed and try as they say to pull the blanket over to my side to do what seems right to me and not what God wants to see ideally.

I admit and repent of this but it is difficult to fight.

Some things just don't fit in my head and I just need to accept them but how can I accept something that may seem evil to me but God has His own special opinion on this.

The Book of the Prophet Jonah 1, 2 chapter and the beginning of the third chapter comes to my heart when the Lord commanded Jonah to go to Nineveh in order to save the people of that city but Jonah considered it offensive to the people of Israel he considered that Nineveh deserved to perish and therefore Jonah decided to hide from God and instead of Nineveh went on a ship to Tarshish.

Reading these lines from the Bible I thought about what would happen if God wanted me to fly somewhere on an airplane?

Lol, it's funny but I hate airplanes and would rather spend a lot of time and effort but move on the ground.

I have unpleasant impressions of flying on airplanes during my childhood and I would not want to repeat them.

But, these impressions of mine in essence are my Nineveh the place where I do not want to be if I am in my right mind and I was not dragged there unconscious.

Will I obey God when He tells me: "Take a plane ticket and fly!"?

If you do not know what Jonah's disobedience was fraught with, then I advise you to read it is very interesting to learn about how a man ended up in the belly of a whale and stayed there for three days.

For Jonah it was a time to rethink his actions and a time to submit to God.

Sometimes God places us in such circumstances to rethink our actions that it seems that the belly of a whale is not the worst place in the world lol.

Perhaps ideal obedience may look like the first spring star that emerges from the frozen ground and does not know what awaits it here on the surface it simply surrenders itself into the hands of God with complete trust, for God is good.

Every time I have doubts about the correctness of God's decisions in part of my life I would like to first of all remember the lines from Psalm 22 which says that the Lord is my consolation and support and He wants to set a feast for us in the face of our enemies.

And our enemies can be our fears pride excessive self-esteem in any area of ​​​​life.

Sometimes it is not easy to entrust yourself and your family to God but it is necessary to do this and I have been convinced of this many times.

Amen!
