Confluence of rivers.

Some things sound strange, but one day we say them, for example today I can say that about forty years ago I was lucky enough to be in the place in the mountains where the Black Tissa River originates which in turn is a tributary of the mighty Danube River.

Probably the key phrase here is "forty years ago" lol but it seems like it was yesterday because the impressions were very bright and memorable.

To be honest I did not immediately realize that I was standing at the source of the river from under the soles of my Vibrams, as the boots of climbers are called crystal clear water was oozing out of the ground and the depth of the stream was no more than a centimeter.

You could see tiny geysers the height of a matchbox, which threw earth from under the ground vertically upwards.

I walked many kilometers down the stream of this water and saw how a rather strong stream had formed which could already be called a river.

This river was my only source of drinking water and water for cooking and at that time there were no water filters you just scoop up water in the river and drink lol.

On the river's path villages began to appear more and more often for which the river was a source of clean water, but the more of them there were the dirtier the water became.

I did not reach the confluence of the Black Tissa with the Danube but I am sure that the confluence of the two rivers looks like the dirtiest most muddy place in these water sources since the streams raise turbidity from the bottom.

Moreover the confluence of two rivers is a place where such a phenomenon as a reverse flow of a river can occur when the level of one of the rivers rises during the flood season.

It took me forty years to think about the instructive moments in what I saw and knew because then I saw only water and beautiful landscapes in front of me and I did not think that the Jews went through a similar path in the desert for forty years having a constant source of drinking water but they constantly added some impurities to the water and the water became bitter to the taste.

Probably, those who do not appreciate clean water from birth are forced to be content with what they deserve but it is good that we, at least with time can get out of muddy water having made the right decision and find ourselves in a place where you can drink water without fear of poisoning.

It is not so simple sometimes rivers may not have tributaries but be absolutely undrinkable like for example, the river that flows through the old park in our city.

It starts somewhere underground in a reinforced concrete collector and flows through picturesque places winding between trees.

Visually the water in this stream is clean it is transparent but I doubt that a self-respecting horse would drink from this river.

But as practice shows people often prefer not to think about the purity of water which is essentially comparable to the information that we absorb into ourselves and are content with this scooping up water where it is convenient for them to do so instead of going upstream to find the cleanest place at the source of the river.
