A letter to myself in 5 years

Life is a journey where everyone has various destinations, it's full of ups and downs but these are what makes life interesting. The journey to be at the top is not always easy but it makes us more experienced,strong, l arm more things and meet important persons who creates memories we can't forget.

Tomorrow is pregnant and we all don't know what it'll birth. Tomorrow never ends, it is the future we hope for but don't see as it continues and never ends. We keep pushing hard and running the race of life while achieving our goals,dreams and destination.

Today while in the lecture hall, my lecturer talked about him already seeing who he is now and it got me thinking about myself in the next five years and undecided to send a letter to my future self with what I hope for.

Dearest Future self (Jennifer)

Time has past so quickly, it's been 5    years  already and things have certainly changed. I want to believe  you're still your lovely, carefree and funny self or  did marriage humble you? Lol. Did you follow through after all these time?, Where you persistent and patient in your pursuit of skill and knowledge as you set out  to be?.

I'm so curious to know where you work now and who the lucky man may be, is he someone you used to know or I'm still yet to meet? Is he dark, tall and as handsome as you used to think?And yeah, did you achieve the dream of having a female as your first child who's eyes would be like yours? lol.

Hope you know that you faced setbacks, dealt with failure and challenges but in every situation and circumstance, you came out stronger. Well, at the moment, life is going on well and my target is to secure a lot of money that'll make me never bother about money anymore in my life time. Maybe I achieved it already and you're probably enjoying a standard and simple life surrounded with loved once I have wished for.

Think about this: you wrote this letter at the time where things where not really perfect but uncertain. When you where still trying to be a better person. Do you feel less stressed now? Are you now relived or are things still challenging in a way?

My wonderful Jennifer, It's time for you to do what matters to you. You are not going to become a better person because you're already what you're looking for, a better person . You're a better person because you achieve some of your dreams despite the desperation, the odds and long awaited hours. I can bet that life is different for you now and you've grown positively.

I can't wait to see that year but for the sake of time being, I'll make sure to strive harder to create a happy, standard and blessed home for you and I. And i promise to stay out of trouble so I won't hurt you too lol.
