Dhankar monastery - Ladakh

Between Kaza and Tabo village, in Spiti valley (Ladakh region, north India), there is an ancient and beautiful place: Dhankar monastery, a thousand years old Buddhist monastery, at an elevation of 3800 meters.

A place where soul can rest, and also fly high.

Monastery has been built on a fragile territory, and sometimes some parts of them fall down, and they need to be rebuilt.

In Ladakh monasteries are built in 'impossible' places, faraway from main villages, on rocky peaks.

In some way, they are energetic points where soul can recharge itself, and I have read about some monks who walks hours only to meditate there, to preserve and maintain this energy.
I have heard also about some legends who say that some monks, with an elevated spiritual evolution, could also teleport between these places.

(Spiti river)

They are lonely places, but I think they contains the entire universe, they are a symbol and they are connecting to the entire world.

<If we could understand just one flower we would know who we are and what the world is. There is not a fact, however humble, that does not contain universal history and its infinite concatenation of effects and causes. The visible world is whole in every representation, just as the will is whole in every person>. (Alfred Tennyson).

When the weather is as beautiful as the clouds are, all these views become even more beautiful.
