Around Satpara lake

Satpara lake is beautiful lake above Skardu city, in Gilgit-Baltistan region, northern Pakistan.
We visited it before Baltoro trekking.
The colors of water is beautiful (with the sun). This lake provides water to Skardu city and it also feeds a hydroelectric power plant that provides electricity to the town.
This summer the levels of the water was dramatically low, so there have been some blackouts in Skardu, also caused by elevate use of household appliances.

And the road... After Baltoro trekking, we came back here to reach Deosai natural park (I will do a post about it), a green and wild plateau at 4000 meters high of altitude, where some bears and snow leopards live.

We have been guests in the house of the cousin of our guide, who has been very kind and offered us chai, apricots and biscuits. Here the family:
