Discover Tunisia: Desert, Coastline & Mountains
Sahara Desert
Tunisia’s southern region is part of the Sahara Desert, offering dramatic landscapes like the Chott el Jerid salt flats and oasis towns such as Douz.
Tunisia has over 1,100 kilometers of Mediterranean coastline, featuring beautiful beaches and ancient coastal cities like Sousse and Carthage.
The Atlas Mountains stretch into Tunisia’s northwest, creating diverse landscapes with lush forests, fertile valleys, and rugged terrain.
I'm from Libya, the country east of Tunisia and our south is part of the Sahara desert too... I only went to the desert once, as a child, and I don't remember anything about it, though.
That's cool, I'm sure I'll make something about Libya in the future. How is it to live there now? Isn't there like a civil war raging?
Yeah, there's a Civil War here, but as long as you don't go where you're not supposed to and don't go outside the cities at night you'll be fine.
Most of the Civil War is happening between Armed Groups and Civilians are rarely harmed, emphasis on rarely because you'll see news of Civilians dying every now and then. Each armed group blames the other ones for that.
Stay safe friend!
