The Lonely Harip Beach
Set in the southernmost part of Surigao del Sur, between Hinatuan and Barobo, is a beautiful beach that thrives in the middle of a rainforest. When we went there 6 years ago, the road was not that friendly which was just a mix of limestone and gravel that will make your hump day literal in every direction. The roadside was either a cliff leading to the sea or a hilly terrain ready to slide. It was like a life-and-death situation. But when you reach the destination there is a deep sigh of relaxation. It was all worth it.
The sea was calm the entire day while we tried to settle ourselves. And because the place was not touristy back then, we had to stay at a local village chief's house at half the price. It was a sleepy town with just a handful of houses with people busy fishing and farming in the mountainside. Everything was so raw and organic. It was nature at its finest. And the people were warm and hospitable.
We stayed for 2 days and spent the night relaxing on the beach. Reminding ourselves of the easy and simple life of the town, yet very satisfying.

You won't believe this, but I once dreamed of a beach very similar to this one! I was shocked. Beautiful pictures! A unique place to enjoy. 😃🍻🙌🙏🤩🎶🎼
Yea the place is otherworldly and very isolated. One has to put so much effort to get there. But lately, the govt built cemnted road for easier access.
