Monomad | "Portrait of Oyster Mushrooms from Fresh to Dried"
Hello all #blackandwhite friends.
On this quiet morning, behind a coffee shop, I discovered the unexpected beauty of oyster mushrooms growing freely on rotten wood that is often overlooked. This wood is in the area where dirty plates and glasses are washed, a corner that apparently holds the secrets of natural life. These mushrooms, with their charming shapes and interesting details, caught my attention.
The first fresh oyster mushrooms are full of life, with smooth but clear curves and texture, reflecting strength and resilience.
Meanwhile, the second fungus has dried out offering a different perspective of partial dryness and fragility in the life cycle. The contrast between these two mushrooms is interesting to capture.
By converting this image to black and white, I wanted to emphasize the texture, shape, and dynamics between light and shadow more dramatically, thereby giving more depth to the subject I captured. Each frame becomes a representation of the small miracles behind the everyday yard.
i decided to include this work in my entry for the daily #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes.
Hoping to share this unique perspective with more eyes, and show that beauty can be found even in the most unexpected places.
NOTE: I first wrote the article above in Indonesian, which is my own language, then I translated it using English with the help of Goggle.
Thank you #blackwhite friends who have visited my blog, I hope you like my post. Greetings from me @bananaklatbarat
