"Alue Garot Forest Exploration: From Beautiful Hills to Beautiful Mushrooms"

(Edited)

That morning, two friends and I decided to explore the Alue Garot forest. The journey starts from Lancok Village, passing through extensive oil palm plantations and green rice fields. Along the way, I stopped several times to capture the view—the expanse of palm oil plantations that stretched as far as the eye could see, the rice fields that were starting to turn green, and the cloudy sky seemed to give a dramatic feel to my photos.

After passing through the oil palm plantation, the journey starts to become challenging. The road I was on was rocky and quite difficult to follow. The motorbike must be driven carefully so as not to slip between loose rocks.

After almost an hour of driving, I finally arrived at a very beautiful hill. When standing at the top, I could see the vast expanse of green. From a distance, you can also see the Alue Garot forest, which is our main destination. A gentle breeze blows, making the atmosphere on this hill even more magical. Of course, I didn't miss the opportunity to take some panoramic photos from the top of this hill.

After enjoying the beauty of the hill, we continued our journey into the Alue Garot forest. Our main goal is to look for interesting objects in the forest, especially mushrooms and small creatures that may be hidden among the leaves. This forest feels quite dense, although in some parts there are many oil palm plantations and rubber plantations that have replaced the original trees.

A few minutes after entering the forest, we found something interesting—a small red mushroom growing among the green moss.

The color is so striking amidst the dense foliage. I immediately took out the camera and took several photos with the right lighting so that the details could be seen clearly.

Not far from there, I found another group of mushrooms growing in clusters on rotten wood. Upon closer inspection, it turned out that this mushroom was a type of Mycena—a small mushroom with a transparent cap and a slender stem. I immediately took several different photo angles to capture the unique shape.

We continued exploring the forest, and a few minutes later I found a third mushroom that was no less interesting. The color is slightly purplish, and the shape is very unique. I immortalized it with enthusiasm. It feels like this journey has really paid off.

When the breeze started blowing again, I realized that this trip was not just about looking for photo objects, but also about enjoying the natural beauty that still remained. In the midst of the onslaught of plantations that continue to expand, there are still small lives such as unique mushrooms that survive in the corners of the forest.

After getting enough rest, we were ready to go back. The journey home still felt pleasant, with the view of dusk starting to appear in the sky. I came home with many new photos and memories from this adventure. Hopefully the Alue Garot forest will remain sustainable and not completely turn into an oil palm plantation.

That day, I felt satisfied. Not only because you managed to find interesting objects to photograph, but also because of the experience of exploring this extraordinary nature.
