Wednesday walk around the Peter and Paul Fortress
We were late for the Peter and Paul Fortress. The gates were closed and guarded by a fortress guard. This, of course, is not a knight in armor, but they still wouldn't let us inside.
Then we decided to just walk around and first went to the bridge across the Neva.
Admiring the sailboat (now it's a floating restaurant...) we decided to return to the walls of the fortress. I couldn't resist and took some provocative pictures.
Meanwhile, it was beginning to get dark despite the white nights.
Such was the beautiful walk through the historical center of St. Petersburg at night.
