Wednesday walk along the Neva embankment
Today we will walk along the Neva embankment from Vasilyevsky Island. This is practically the end of the river and the gateway to the sea. Only the territory of the shipyard separates me from the sea.
This is one of the first warm days of summer. Lilac is still blooming and its fragrance is in the air. But in my photos there is no lilac and its smell. But can you imagine the smell of river water on a warm day
Yes, these are the cranes that work at the factory. But this area is closed and I can get there
And this submarine has been turned into a museum. Once upon a time I was diving on a similar boat in the North Sea. I was young, we had a naval internship and it was part of her program. But this is a separate story and maybe I'll tell it someday.
Walking is the only form of transportation in which a man proceeds erect – like a man – on his own legs, under his own power. There is immense satisfaction in that.

I love walks by the water and this is a lovely one the embankment looks a great spot to stretch the legs and enjoy the views
