Portraits of old courtyards (14 photos)
Leningrad is full of all sorts of secrets and surprises. You see a nice modern courtyard (I like the old courtyards more), and you go on hoping to see something else like this. You go around the corner or pass through some kind of arch...
What you see may disappoint you, frighten you, or lead you into complete delight. I'm usually thrilled.
One day I was on business in the old district of the city and I had time to wander around its courtyards a little. Quite a bit. But these places are saturated with the charm of the old time. However, I have processed the photos a bit so that they don't look too gloomy. Today is a rainy day, even stormy and I want something brighter.
I think that a light retro would be appropriate here.
The courtyards are quite narrow, and the buildings are tall. I had to take vertical photos. It's now that I would have done a few panoramas, but then I wasn't into it.
I plan to make a special trip to the old courtyards. At the same time, take several lenses with you and compare the results of their use. Maybe I'll do it soon.
