When you think it is all over.

Has it ever happened to you before?

Please don’t say “No”, I can’t be the only one on this seat right? so get your seat belt on as we ride on.

Since we all agreed you’ve experienced this, phew, it should be easier to let out.

So it happened that I heard whispering around during one of my days in the higher institution.

What caused the whispering you might ask, you should know right, I mean you’ve experienced it also right?

It happened that I erm.. Okay, let's start from the beginning.

In my hostel then we had guys staying around and we ladies there just love putting legs in their shoes, you know. They have bigger legs than ours and their shoes were comfortable to be worn even when we look ridiculous in them.

Okay picture this, a child of 4 or 5 years wearing his or her dad's shoe, you know how it looks on them right? Well, that’s exactly how theirs looks on us.

On this fateful morning, I had woken up late for class, I quickly rushed in and took my bath, got dressed, and was halfway to school when I recalled I didn’t brush, I had a presentation that morning so I had to rush back home.

On getting home, I pulled the shoe I wore cos it got uncomfortable with the run back home and then I saw some of the guy's shoes outside, so I just wore them to get toothpaste since the one I had was borrowed from me wasn’t returned, on getting back, I brushed my teeth clean, drank some water, carried my bag and zoomed out.

Now we have gotten somewhere, I bet you can guess why there were whispers and laughs while I passed by.

The shoe oh gosh, not mine, but one of the guy's shoes I wore, and the funny part was that I wore different colors of shoes and different sizes.

Maybe you didn’t get it, it was like seeing your dad and uncle's shoes outside, so you decided to pick the right leg of your dad's shoe and the left leg of your uncle's which are different designs and styles 😭😭.

Hope you get it better now. Oh, how I wished the ground could open up, geez I mean they could have told me right? Why make fun? It was not even funny then😒. But maybe later it was.

Anyways, I had to go back home again and quietly pulled the different shoes, going straight to the mirror to check if nothing is weird on me again.

And when I thought it was all over what happened…

I realized I had forgotten my phone at home when I checked on myself in the mirror, no one could get reach to me to inform me of the change in time and location of the presentation and so I had to wait for hours in the class where we were to present looking like a lost kid in a big supermarket until some of my friends came over to check up on me there and saved the day.

Though I didn’t miss my presentation I felt disheartened when I told my friend about my day and they all busted into fits of laughter..

I mean who does that?
