There Is No Time For Detective Scene.

Thinker's Corner..png

You find my reply offensive,
And now, I must ask,
Should you not have thought of your words then?
Should you not have said it to yourself first?
Should you not have had the taste of it before dishing it out?

Words hold meaning,
This is why we ought to be careful how we speak,
Whatever you say can be heard, and words break a soul,
It makes one weep and suffer because it echoes.

In the ancient world,
Words hold significant meanings to them,
A gentleman and a lady should act appropriately,
Because when words get around, it can damage their reputation,
And this balances the equation.

Words have a big ounce of psychology to it,
It deals with our emotions and all,
This is what births the need for respect,
So that there'll be ultimate balance in all.

A world where there's balance is a beautiful sight,
It urges you awake to see the humans might,
You can speak without being looked down upon,
Because you matter.

However, if a scenario occurs,
Where people speak because they can,
You have the right to give them a fine, no nonsense medicine,
To bring their sanity back to where it belongs.

There's a reason law was made in our world. The need for order has become more of a necessity in our modern world. We all come from different backgrounds and so are trained differently. Even those who are born of the same parents are sometimes trained differently.

The difference between the first and last born is always very obvious and can't be denied. Still, respect should be treated in all areas of life.

However, if things turned out to be the opposition and someone thinks they can talk to you because they have a mouth, I say let them go on for I am right there waiting to hear them speak so I can send them nature's crucial message. If you throw dirt unnecessarily, you should be ready for what the flood will bring.

Saying sorry isn't much of a problem to me in cases where I am wrong. I can apologize profusely even to the smallest human on earth if I did wrong by them.

However, in cases where I am offended, I won't apologize. I have some people calling it stubborn, arrogant, and all. Well, it's their words, not mine, so they can stuff it in their face or nearest trash can.

I have met with people who are simply rude mainly because some see that I have a petite frame and have an innocent face. Haha. Only if they knew, they wouldn't dare.

Although, I don't like my voice being heard, especially in a fight. I'd rather give the person a deadly look, smile, and then work away instead of creating a scene where tons of people will turn detective and start asking questions. Most of those people are nosy and just want something to talk about for the day, and I don't give people that scene in my movie life. There is no time for a detective scene in my life.

However, if I find myself in a situation where I just need to talk, I will make a statement and it'd end there because I am sure whatever I say will shut that person up to bring a counter-attack. And before the detectives or journalists can think of coming around, they won't find me lurking around.

I don't like drama much, but I can be equally dramatic to those who think they are smart talkers. I have their medication at hand and will not bat my eyelid to give them their dosage, and I do have to confess it always feels nice to reminisce on when I get to my safe space.

Hello @balikis95, Words, indeed, can be sharper than swords. It cuts deeper than a wound and stings like a bee. People sometimes forget how painful it is to be wounded by their unintentional but offending comments. Kindness is free, we should share it profoundly. 💚

Yes, you are right. Words can do the work of a sword skillfully, which is why we ought to be careful.

Thanks for stopping by 😊.

Nice. There is so much to learn from life and everyone has it as a duty and responsibility to carry themselves the way they want to be treated.

Apology is decorated by most people as a nice approach to take and I'm sure there are times for apologies. However, choosing not to apologize when you are the one who's genuinely offended is an approach which can't be faulted by those that havw experienced life in it's fullness.

Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts in this edition of The Thinker's Corner Challenge.

That's right. There's so much in life to be learned.

There's time for everything. One needs to know when to apologise and when not to.

That's right, respect is reciprocal, no one should be treated poorly no matter the age difference.

Our words are truly powerful and it's important how we use them to prevent hurting a fellow human. Some people don't know this and just say thrash not minding how it affects others.

I love your points especially about detectives who show up to worsen the situation. Sometimes, we just need to talk and end whatever the issue might be.

Yes, some people do not know the weight of words they say because if they do, they won't say such unless they already have their bad intent.

That's very right. Thanks for stopping by 😊.

You're absolutely right to point out that words are not just a means of communication, but powerful vehicles that carry our emotions, intentions and sometimes, unfortunately, our contempt. Thinking before you speak is a lost skill in our fast-paced, reactive society, where impulsive responses have become the norm.

I'm particularly touched by your perspective on how to deal with offenses. Your approach of not apologizing when you yourself are the victim is a powerful reminder of the importance of self-respect. Too often, we're led to believe that the path to peace lies in self-effacement, but your perspective offers a powerful alternative: that of dignity and self-respect.

While we should always seek to understand and respect others, this should never be at the expense of our own integrity.

Speaking before speaking will decrease lots of damages to our world because you'd be able to analyse your words before saying them.

Self-respect matters, and the moment you give people a chance to trample upon it all in the name of peace, you'd be surprised by the chances they'd create to ruin you.

Thanks for stopping by 😊.
