I Could Remember It All.
I can remember vividly,
The moments spent by your side,
The smile on your face and echoes of laughter at moonlight,
I could still remember the way your voice sounded,
I could remember it all that now it hurts.
And then it all came to a halt,
The light that filled your eyes all gone,
It felt like a void that couldn't be filled,
And it hurts so badly that makes me cry endlessly,
That I can see and feel the hurt in your heart.
I could not just feel it,
But I could also hear it.
The strange sound that left your lips,
The tears that filled your eyes without no voice heard,
I could hear it all, but there's nothing I could do to help.
I was not religious, or so I thought,
But with you, I was willing to bear my heart out to the walls,
Hoping they'll hear my voice and whisper to your ears,
And that you can be saved knowing that I care.
But I know that can't occur unless it is just a dream,
In fairy tales, it may be achievable,
But reality speaks differently,
And knowing that much tears my heart to pieces.
The agonizing pain, the yelp,
The closing of the eyes when you hear the sound of the belt,
The fear in your eyes, body, and soul,
I can feel it all, and I just want you to know,
That you are not alone and I care for you,
And deep inside, I hope this poem gets to you.

Agony is that prelude to death that marks us the most, because we live and suffer it, and then we are left with emptiness as you say in your poem, where you let us know such a moving experience. Thank you for sharing.
Yes, we live and suffer it, and it is surely brutal. Thanks for stopping by 😊. I appreciate your presence here.

Thank you dreemer, I appreciate your presence here ♥️.
It's unfortunately and a sad to watch someone will care about go from smile to pain and nothing we could do. The thought can hurt
#dreemerforlife
Yeah, that is right. It hurts especially when you can't even help.
