Finance: Should It Be Told Or Kept Mute? #Loh145

There is no right and wrong in life as what you believe is right is wrong in some people's cultures. Finance plays a very big role in our society and everyone has the right to spend their money as they wish because it is their asset. They can flex it as they wish.

This, you might think, but there are some religions and cultural beliefs of some people who dictate how a woman should spend her money even when she is married. As far as they are concerned, her money isn't hers alone, it belongs to anyone she is betrothed to.

But, in the absence of religious and cultural beliefs, a woman who works hard to end her keep should be able to spend, save or give out her money as she pleases without the society on her neck telling her what she did wrong or right. The entitlement should be off.

Every woman, either young or old can decide to let her spouse know what she earns in a workplace depending on her relationship with the person. I have come across women that tell their spouses they earn lower because they know who they are dating or married to and seeing this does not make me disregard them and see them differently. I am not the one they are dating. Lol.

Also, I have come across women that tell their spouses the exact amount they earn and if there is a bonus given or salary increase, their spouses will be the first to know and some even celebrate it. Seeing that kind of woman would not let me think less of her and say she has no secret or has love taken over her head or something. Nah, we are all different for a reason.

Though money is what society deems as the root of all evil because of the power given to it by humans to upgrade or tarnish their image which brings us to why some women would rather not tell what they earn with their spouses. After all, we've seen what money does to sisters who are bonded by blood. It is no different from letting the spouse know what goes on with your finances.

Looking at the family aspect, I have also seen cases where a woman feeds her family and the husband's family sees her as a termite which is one of the reasons I believe some women would rather act like they don't have money.

As I said in my opening statement, there is no right and wrong in life, especially in how people deem to spend their money or how a woman who is today's topic by @merit.ahama decides to let her spouse in on details requiring her finance.
