Trying to have second thoughts on my Google One Subscription

I started using Google One Subscription only recently. So far 15 GB was enough for me but recently when I started taking more photos and videos, I got sync issues and I stopped receiving any emails in my mailbox. I was also tired of clearing the large files on my Google Drive and large emails in my mailbox. Then later I decided it should be okay to purchase a Google One Subscription and have been doing that for the past few months. I'm paying around (130 Rs) 1.6 dollars per month for my Google One Subscription.

Every month when the payment is deducted, I used to wonder if that was necessary or not. Currently, there are no alternatives available and even if there are alternatives available, I'm too lazy to take a backup of all the files, photos, and videos and move it to the alternative. I saw many articles available online complaining about the service they are providing. Many people have mentioned that they stopped using Google products after they restricted Google Photos and after they started pushing YouTube subscriptions to the users.

Some people have also expressed positive thoughts and say that Google Photos is one of the best and there is no equivalent or better option available in the market for the best price. One of the best things about Google Photos is that they have both side compatibility. Photos can be pushed from the device and to the device without any problem. There are other services where we can still move our photos but good to pay for one service and have some premium features in one place. Maybe that is also one of the reasons why people said they wanted to have both Google Photos and YouTube Premium merged as one single plan.

Every month once I get this thought to explore other options and then I think 1500 Rs per year is not a big deal so I just leave it. But maybe if there are better options available in the future, I might go for that instead of paying for the premium services. I was thinking maybe I could purchase a pen drive and move all my photos and files to that and reduce the space on the drive to get rid of the Google One Subscription but it appears that after a point, looks like we cannot do much and if we have this subscription, it even more peaceful where I don't have to worry about drive getting filled up anymore.

There are also a few other advantages along with the subscription like exploring Gemini AI but I still have not explored or made use of that. Most of the people who are subscribed to Google One are the ones who think it is very convenient for Android phones and they don't want to explore other options that are new for them. The reason is good because I also have the same thought. Maybe there are other cheaper options available too but the problem is that we may not get everything in just one place.

It’s so funny how I thought pen drive is only for writing on phone. I never knew it could be used to store files too😅
Thanks for this

Not worthy . Telegram Premium offers a total of 4 TB (4,000 GB or gigabytes) of cloud storage space for its premium subscribers.

This storage space can be used to store and share large files, such as high-resolution photos, videos, or documents, within the app.

Additionally, premium users have the benefit of faster download speeds and the ability to upload larger files, up to 4 GB in size, compared to the standard 2 GB limit for non-premium users.

Sometimes I usually wonder whether it is actually worth it to try out some subscription looking at the cost and even what one stand to gain

i like your thoughts on Google One Subscription. you have debating very well whether or not it is worth the monthly payment for managing photos, videos, and files. according to my thought its not worthy for me so far.
