Switching to Bamboo products
Plastic pollution is one of the biggest problems on Earth. Many countries have a ban on some Plastic products but are still using them heavily and have been sending them to dumpyards. Not every country can manage their waste very well like Singapore. Of course, the financial status of the country and the discipline of the people make a lot of difference. However, I decided to avoid using plastics to the extent that I can.
Plastics cannot be completely avoided
I agree to the fact that we cannot stop using plastics completely and I'm also not against the use of plastics but when there are alternatives available, people should consider using those alternatives instead of using plastics. Many countries have to understand this. I used to wonder what other alternatives we could get for our raincoats if it was not supposed to be plastics. There should be some biodegradable materials that should replace plastics in such matters. I remember my grandfather's raincoat was made of rubber. I was using it during my school days but it was very heavy and was not a suitable one for kids. Maybe some research work can be done to make a cost effective eco friendly products instead of plastics. Durability is one of the biggest advantages that plastics give us. The main reason is because it is not eaten by any micro organisms.
Using plates, spoons, and toothbrushes
I've started using these items from a plastic alternative. Today if we go to a coconut shop to drink coconut water, they give us a plastic straw. We have seen how much harm they do to the other living beings on the planet. These are a few things where we can bring a chance. I stopped using straws to drink coconut water. I directly consume it without any straws. This has also increased the way it feels for me. I feel it is tasty to drink it that way.
These days many restaurants have understood the need for using plastic alternatives. There are wooden use and throw spoons and forks available. Even plates are being manufactured out of plant products which makes us not stay dependent on plastics. I replaced the toothbrush with a wooden toothbrush in my family. I thought it can be somewhat costly but the cost wasn't that bad. I had to order them online and get them delivered to me. Hopefully, there will be more and more alternatives in the future for plastics.
Bamboo products are the best alternatives
Many restaurants have started using plastic alternatives these days. Bamboo products play a very important role in this. As Bamboo is the fastest growing crop, it is easy to cultivate it as per the needs and make enough money out of it by creating products from Bamboo. Mostly these products are created in China and exported to several other countries. The awareness is everywhere and even in other places people are growing different varieties of Bamboo based on their needs. There are also medicinal benefits to using bamboo products.
Some products like Bamboo cups, Bamboo water bottles, and Bamboo brushes are the best alternatives that everyone should explore.

It sounds like bamboo has a lot of qualities perfectly suited to most of our needs, heck if we can really all just work together and at least try and make the Earth a cleaner place again... well then everything would be... fantastic!!
Here in our country it is also banned but after some time the use of plastic shoppers starts again. People are not disliking it now but they don't know that because of pollution. The lives of many people are being ruined, so the government has to take strict action to eliminate this plastic.

Maybe plastics will be scrapped completely but I don’t think that will happen anytime soon
Plastics are still very useful for us and we all haven’t found an alternative yet
Hmm
If the Bamboo products will be good, effective and reliable, why not?
We are surely going to make use of them
We have been hearing that plastics are not good but we seem to keep using them because we don’t have any other choice
From bamboo they make beautiful furniture and useful items which can be a good alternative to plastic. Plastic has many harmful side so bamboo products should be used and use of plastic should be reduced.
Hmm, this is really something 🤔. Although I support the use of alternatives other than plastics majorly, I don't really think bamboo can do just that, as you said earlier it's still prone to micro organisms in this case termites. Nevertheless for spoons, plates and other utensils, ceramics and steels can be used. I think more research should be carried out to ascertain other alternatives in various use cases.
Please, How do one get quality votes on Hive and engagement.
There are successful materials that are food grade and made out of Bamboo or other wood based materials. I agree about the termites thing but only if we stack it for a long time. If we are going to use it day to day, it shouldn't be a problem.
It's well said, but that automatically translates to forced sells or job order system.
Quality votes and engagement happens if you are part of some community or when curators pick your contents as the good one.
Ohh okay, by community you mean be active like for example on Leofinance.
Yeah something like that.
Well I am still curious about the side effect of plastic to our health
Bamboo, being a fast-growing and versatile resource, is a great substitute for many plastic items, and its use is spreading globally, which is a positive sign. Small changes, like switching to wooden toothbrushes or using plant-based plates and straws, can have a ripple effect on reducing plastic waste.
