HPUD Feb 2024 - Powered up 100 Hive

This month is small in terms of the number of days. Even though it is just short by 1 or two days, it still feels like a very big difference. Starting this month, I have started to do smaller power-ups. I was able to power up only 100 Hive today on the occasion of Hive Power Up Day. The main reason is because I would like to save up for my real-world needs. I will start cashing out to move it to other investments.

I still have enough liquid Hive with me but I wanted to do smaller power-ups intentionally because I would like to save it up for something else. My efforts to power up religiously every month have turned out very well. I guess that's one of the primary reasons why I was able to cross 100k Hive power. If the price of Hive goes up, the outcome would be very much fruitful. Till last month there was a pressure to complete reaching 100k Hive power. As I have completed reaching it this month, there is no more rush as of now. I'm not going to be focusing on increasing the Hive power even further. I'm going to let it happen naturally.

Something makes me feel that 100 Hive is a very small number compared to the usual numbers in the last 2 years. Right now it is good to have enough liquidity instead of spending all the liquid Hive on power-ups and locking it. The reason why I say this is because the price of Hive is already improving a lot and if our luck stays good, we should be able to see Hive crossing 50 cents soon. I think only after the altcoin season starts, this can happen. My goal for 2023 was to reach 100k Hive power. With just one month delay, I have now completed accumulating 100k Hive power.

I initially thought of not participating in the HPUD at all but later I thought that even it is a small amount that I do, there will be a huge motivation behind that. I'm going to let this keep going as it is and as I had mentioned earlier, I think reaching 150k was a tough one without any extra push but then I thought there was no urgency and we can take this slow and let 150k happen whenever it is supposed to happen.

Compared to last month the author rewards and curation rewards are a little better. The ideal goal for the future is to keep getting more funds from the curation rewards. This way one fine day my investment itself becomes self-sufficient.

The above stats are from the witness server. It appears that the witness earnings are sufficient enough to run the witness without any issues. It is always a good feeling to have a look at the stats and write this article. There is still one issue that has prevailed for more than 20 days. Hive SQL is down right now. I have so much dependency on Hive SQL. Hopefully, it should be back to normal next week so that we can continue to have a seamless experience.
