Why NaRimtang is a Must-Visit for Delicious Food and a Casual Atmosphere in Phuket
Hello everyone
For anyone visiting Phuket and seeking a local restaurant with beautiful decor, I highly recommend NaRimtang Phuket Local Restaurant. Tucked away in the heart of Chalong, at 40/999 Mueang Phuket District, this gem is easy to find. Just head towards Wat Chalong, and you'll spot it right behind the temple.
As you approach, the exterior's charm draws you in, hinting at the delights within. On both sides of the door, there are carved figures of Kinnaree, each as tall as a person, standing gracefully to welcome you inside. This mythical half-bird, half-woman beings add a touch of enchantment to the entrance, inviting you into a world where traditional Thai culture and modern elegance blend seamlessly.
Stepping through the door, you are greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior is thoughtfully adorned with intricate carvings, and vibrant colors creating a serene dining environment.
The restaurant boasts several zones to choose from, each offering a unique dining experience. The largest zone is particularly popular, offering a direct view of the kitchen where you can watch the chefs at work.
The tables in this zone are made from large pieces of wood, adding a rustic yet refined touch to the decor. Overhead, bamboo lamps cast a soft, warm light, their beautiful designs enhancing the ambiance.
The menu is a testament to the rich culinary heritage of Phuket, featuring an array of dishes that celebrate local flavors and inventive fusion cuisine. Even though I wasn't feeling particularly hungry, I decided to try the roti with chicken curry. The taste was incredibly intense, with the rich, aromatic spices of the curry perfectly complementing the flaky, buttery roti.
Not wanting to miss out on dessert, I also ordered from the dessert menu: salted egg ice cream, served in a charming small wooden bucket. The taste was delightfully mellow, a perfect balance of sweet and savory that provided a refreshing end to the meal.
After finishing my meal, I decided to walk around and explore the restaurant further. NaRimtang is fairly large, with plenty to see beyond the dining areas. Behind the counter, there's a small souvenir shop. Here, you can find a variety of Thai fragrances, where fresh flowers are baked and the scent is preserved in beautiful bottles. They also sell massage machines, a popular purchase among foreign tourists looking to take a piece of their relaxing Thai experience home with them.
Curious about what else the restaurant had to offer, I opened a door to the side and discovered another open zone overlooking a large pond inside the public area. This corner is full of trees, providing good air and a very beautiful view. The serene setting, combined with the casual atmosphere, makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal.
For anyone looking for a delicious restaurant with a casual atmosphere, I recommend coming to NaRimtang Phuket Local Restaurant. I guarantee you won't be disappointed. Whether you're a seasoned traveler or a first-time visitor, NaRimtang is a must-visit destination for a taste of local cuisine amidst exquisite surroundings. So, next time you find yourself in Phuket, make sure to stop by and enjoy a meal that delights all the senses, and perhaps pick up a fragrant souvenir to remember your visit.
