Finding Serenity in Paradise

Hello everyone

Lately, I've been feeling the urge to explore new places, and one thing that has been on my mind is visiting a beach that I've never been to before. Living in Phuket, there are countless beaches to choose from, and I'm embarrassed to say that there are still many that I haven't had the chance to see. But last weekend, I finally had the opportunity to check out a new beach with my friend. We decided to visit "Paradise Beach", which is located not far from the popular tourist destination of Patong. I was excited to see what this beach had in store for us.

In the afternoon, I met up with my friend at Patong Beach. We caught up over cold drinks and snacks, and then piled into a car to make our way to Paradise Beach. My friend had been here before, but it had been many years ago, so we were all curious to see how things had changed. As we made our way towards the beach, my friend mentioned that the path to Paradise Beach used to be small and steep, but had since been improved. Sure enough, we found that there was now a car pick-up service to take visitors down to the beach. It was a relief, as we were all in flip flops and didn't feel like struggling down a steep incline.

When we arrived at the entrance, we were a bit taken aback by the price. The admission fee was 200 baht for Thai citizens and 600 baht for tourists. I personally thought it was too expensive, especially since there are so many beautiful beaches in Phuket that don't require any entrance fee. However, I also didn't want to miss out on this opportunity, so I reluctantly paid the fee.

After receiving our tickets, we made our way down to where the pickup trucks were waiting to take us to the beach. These trucks had been converted into buses, with benches in the back for passengers to sit on.

As we climbed into the back of the pickup truck that had been converted into buses, with benches in the back for passengers to sit on., we were excited to finally be on our way to Paradise Beach. The engine roared to life, and we set off on the steep and winding path that led down to the beach.

The path was narrow and at times felt precarious, with steep drops on either side. We held onto the metal bars on the sides of the truck for support as we bounced along. The driver expertly navigated the twists and turns, and I couldn't help but feel grateful for the car pick-up service. Despite the steep incline, the ride was only about 500 meters long. It was a short but thrilling journey, and we all held our breath as the truck made its way around tight corners and up steep hills.

As the pickup truck came to a stop at the entrance gate of Paradise Beach, a ticket checker came over to inspect our bags. We were reminded that drinks and food were not allowed inside the beach area, as it was a privately owned beach. Before we reached the beach itself, we passed by various buildings that had been set up for the convenience of tourists. There were bathrooms and shower rooms, as well as small shops selling snacks and souvenirs. It was clear that the owners of the beach had put a lot of effort into making sure that visitors had everything they needed to enjoy their day at the beach.

As we walked past the bathrooms and showers, we came across a sign that read "Welcome to Paradise Beach." I couldn't help but smile at the irony of the name, given how hard it had been to get here. But as I looked out at the umbrella and the beautiful green sea in the distance, I knew that it was worth it.

As we walked towards the smaller beach, I couldn't help but marvel at the natural beauty that surrounded us. The crystal clear water and soft white sand made me feel as though we were walking in a dream. The heat of the day was no match for the refreshing water, and we eagerly made our way towards it.

The smaller beach was more secluded and intimate, with fewer tourists around. The area was filled with large rocks and shaded by towering trees, making it the perfect spot to escape the heat of the day. We quickly found a spot under an umbrella and settled in for some relaxation.

The water was crystal clear, and I could see small fish darting around my feet as I waded further out. The sun was shining down on us, and I could feel its warmth on my skin. It was the perfect day to be at the beach, and I was grateful to be experiencing it with my friend.

While the smaller beach may not have had as many fish as the larger beach, we were still thrilled to see them swimming nearby. It was amazing to watch them dart around in the water, and we spent hours playing in the waves.

As we lounged on the sand, a security guard came over to check on us and make sure that we were safe. It was comforting to know that someone was keeping an eye on us, even though we were in such a beautiful and peaceful place.

As the day went on, we took turns swimming, sunbathing, and exploring the beach. We went for walks along the shoreline and collected seashells. It was a day filled with laughter, relaxation, and adventure, and I knew that I would always cherish the memories we had made.

As the day began to draw to a close, we packed up our things and made our way back towards the larger beach. We walked along the stairs and walkways that connected the two beaches, taking in the stunning views of the mountains and sea around us.

As we reached the larger beach once again, we couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness that our day at Paradise Beach was coming to an end. But we knew that we would always carry the memories of this magical place with us, and that we would return one day to experience its beauty once again. We reluctantly packed up our things and made our way back up the path to the entrance gate. We stopped by the shower rooms to rinse off the sand and salt, and I couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness at the thought of leaving this beautiful place.

Phuket is one of my top destinations on my bucket list and you live there!!! 😍 Now, I envy you so much, but I'm also excited to see more posts from that part of the world.

I think it's normal that you don't visit many places around your home. I guess everyone has it like this. We prefer to travel somewhere else than to explore what is around us first. I loved to come with you on this adventure. The scenery is beautiful and your photos are great!

Thank you for sharing!
