Family Moment
Hello everyone
This morning the weather in Phuket is not clear, the sky is overcast and there has been light rain all day. But I made an appointment with my eldest son to have breakfast together. Around 9:00 a.m., my eldest son arrived at the house and we took the car out to eat dim sum at a newly opened place near our house. This restaurant my husband and I ate at 2 weeks ago. But the eldest son and the youngest have never eaten dim sum here. We haven't seen our eldest son very often since he moved out to rent a room near work, so meeting up to eat together is a nice meeting.
This dim sum restaurant is called "Bang Chiam Dim Sum" and opened earlier this year, the first branches being in Kathu District, where I've eaten dim sum there many times. The dim sum restaurant is a 3-story commercial building with a clean white tone. The front of the door is made of a round door decorated with Chinese-style patterns. The ceiling is decorated with red Chinese lanterns. Even though there are two doors, the customer can use only one door because at the other door, the shop has set up a large stove for steaming dim sum.
Today was a holiday, so the ground floor was full of customers. The employee informed us that you could order dim sum and sit on the second floor of the restaurant. We walked over and picked out dim sum until the tray was full and brought it to the waiter to steam. Then go up to the 2nd floor there are both stairs and elevator options available. Of course, we chose to walk up the stairs instead of taking the elevator.
The second floor of the dim sum shop had no customers, so this floor became ours. The second floor's walls are decorated with beautiful Chinese-style paintings there is a beautiful photo corner that I really liked. While waiting for the steaming dim sum, it was an opportunity to capture the atmosphere of the 2nd floor because the first time my husband and I came to eat dim sum here, we chose a table on the ground floor.
Almost 20 minutes passed because we chose a lot of dim sum the staff brought hot dim sum. It was served to the table, where my son was a good eater, so he picked out so much dim sum that the table almost overflowed. The hot dim sum spread its aroma throughout the room we immediately ate it out of hunger.
This time I also ordered 1 pot of plum tea with lemon the taste was just right, sweet and sour.
We ate and talked for a long time because we hadn't seen our eldest son very often. So we took this opportunity to eat together and asked about his work and living conditions and whether they were comfortable. If it's difficult, he can move back to the house. But my son said he didn't have any difficulty and liked being alone like this more than us, so we indulged him.
After eating all the dim sum and waiting for the bill to be paid, I walked out to explore the front terrace, which was decorated with red Chinese lanterns. This area can see the Sino Hotel, which is built in the Sino-Portuguese style like Phuket Old Town.
After paying for the meal and getting ready to go home, I couldn't resist asking to take a photo at the cafe which is in the same area with only a wall separating it. This cafe moved from Kathu District where it used to be a flower cafe filled with thousands of flowers. But when we moved to the newly opened here, the decoration was not at all like the cafe at Kathu it's a simple but beautiful cafe.
