Hello everyone

Most women like flowers, and I'm no exception; I adore flowers, especially in a sprawling garden. I could spend an entire day wandering among them without a hint of boredom. Currently, I find myself in Tak Province, nestled in the northern part of Thailand. Here, picturesque flower gardens abound, offering perfect spots for photography. Winter brings an abundance of blossoms to admire, but come summer, only a handful of gardens manage to sustain their floral displays. The scorching heat takes its toll on the delicate seedlings, causing many to wither and perish. However, luck was on my side this time. A new flower garden opened its gates to tourists in early April, just when I arrived. It will remain open until the beginning of May when the flowers inevitably begin to fade.

The flower garden, RaiAma, is renowned for its vast fields of sunflowers and a variety of other flowers. However, it's only open to visitors twice a year due to the lengthy process of planting and cultivating the blooms. This morning, at around 10:00 a.m., I embarked on a trip to RaiAma with my mother and my little niece. Upon arrival, we paid the entrance fee of 30 baht per person. Luckily, my mother, being over 60 years old, and my niece, who is under 100 centimeters tall, were exempt from the fee, allowing us to save some money. With the formalities out of the way, we eagerly ventured into the flower garden.

RaiAma didn't disappoint in terms of photo opportunities. Everywhere we turned, there were picturesque corners just waiting to be captured on camera. Whether it was the vibrant sunflowers basking in the sunlight or the delicate blooms swaying in the breeze, each scene was more enchanting than the last.

At RaiAma, the sunflower fields extend as far as the eye can see, a sea of yellow stretching towards the horizon. These sunflowers are exceptionally tall, towering over 160 centimeters in height. To capture their grandeur, RaiAma provides stairs for visitors to take high-angle photos, ensuring that every magnificent bloom is visible.

Although the sunflowers haven't reached full bloom yet, their gradual unfurling showcases the brilliance of the sunshine. However, the scorching heat of the day is relentless. It's advisable to carry an umbrella to shield yourself from the intense rays. Despite the sweltering weather causing my camera to malfunction several times, the vast expanse of sunflower fields has a mesmerizing effect. Amidst the heat, I found myself entranced by the beauty of nature, momentarily forgetting the discomfort as I marveled at the majestic blooms.

Amidst the radiant sunlight, sunflowers bloom proudly, their golden petals reaching towards the sky. Insects flit around the blossoms, drawn by the promise of nectar and the vital task of pollination. Bees, butterflies, and other pollinators dance among the flowers, moving from bloom to bloom, ensuring the continuation of life within the sunflower fields. Their delicate movements contribute to the cycle of growth and renewal, enriching the vibrant tapestry of nature's bounty.

At RaiAma, amidst the expansive sunflower fields, another spectacle awaits a cosmos field in full bloom. As far as the eye can see, delicate cosmos flowers sway gracefully in the breeze, their vibrant hues painting the landscape in shades of pink, purple, and white. Entranced by their beauty, I find myself momentarily forgetting to breathe, captivated by the mesmerizing dance of petals and the gentle rustle of leaves in the wind. Amidst the golden splendor of the sunflowers, the cosmos field stands as a testament to the breathtaking diversity of nature's creations.

In the sweltering heat, my little niece and I sought relief by ordering cold drinks. With a glass each to quench our thirst, we found respite under the cool shade of a sprawling bamboo grove, a sanctuary for weary tourists seeking refuge from the scorching sun. Here, amidst the tranquil surroundings, we sat and rested, savoring the refreshing beverages and enjoying each other's company in the soothing embrace of nature.

The owner of RaiAma suggests visiting the flowers either in the early morning or just before sunset to avoid the intense daytime heat. During these times, the weather is cooler and more pleasant, offering a more enjoyable experience for visitors. RaiAma is open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., providing ample opportunity to witness the beauty of the blooms in the gentle light of dawn or the warm hues of dusk.

I wish there were places like this in Panama, my wife would love it, we go almost every year to a flower event in the countryside but they don't have fields open like this, It must be very peaceful out there ✌️

It's a shame there aren't places like this in Panama, but your annual flower event sounds lovely too! The open fields are indeed very peaceful. ✌️
