A time to celebrate with Thai BBQ.

Hello everyone

I made an appointment with a friend that I would eat Thai BBQ in Patong on Saturday evening. Because the last time we went to eat it, it was very delicious and during the latter period. We haven't gone to eat Thai BBQ together in a long time because I'm watching my weight and not eating dinner. But my friend wanted me to come along so I agreed. We met at the Thai Barbecue restaurant at 5:00 p.m. Yesterday at around 4:20 p.m., I drove towards Patong, about 20 minutes from my house. It takes about 35 minutes to drive because Some periods are congested.

Thai Barbecue is a beloved culinary experience in Thailand, known for its buffet-style setup that offers a delightful mix of grilled and boiled foods. It’s popular because of the wide variety of ingredients available, allowing diners to mix and match flavors to their heart's content. The all-you-can-eat aspect adds to its appeal, making it a favorite gathering spot for friends and family to enjoy a feast together.

Among the many delights of Thai BBQ, one dish always stands out for my friends and me—shrimp and crab papaya salad. No matter which restaurant we visit, this dish is a non-negotiable part of our meal. It has become more than just food; it's a cherished ritual that brings us closer together.

As soon as we settle in, we get to work. Fresh shrimp and crabs are carefully selected, their flavors waiting to be unlocked. We boil them until they’re just right, their delicate sweetness sealed in by the process. The next step is peeling—removing the shells with precision, ensuring that every bite will be tender and flavorful.

Once the shrimp and crabs are ready, the real magic begins. My friend, who has rightfully earned the title of our official papaya salad maker, takes charge. With skillful hands, they combine the shrimp and crab with shredded green papaya, adding just the right amount of chili, lime, and fish sauce. The result is a perfect balance of spicy, sour, and savory, with the fresh seafood elevating the dish to new heights.

As we dig into the salad, the familiar flavors bring smiles to our faces. This dish is more than just a meal; it's a symbol of our shared moments and the joy we find in each other's company. No Thai BBQ is complete without it, and we wouldn’t have it any other way.

Besides papaya salad with shrimp and crab being our main food. I also like to bring various vegetables. Boil until tender to add sweetness to the soup. Take the pork belly that is cut into thin sheets. It is boiled in a soup that has aromatic and sweet aroma from the boiled vegetables and then dipped in a very delicious, spicy dipping sauce.

Today we ate less Thai BBQ than usual because my friends and I are watching our weight. Most of the time, we eat while talking and updating each other on every story in our lives. Besides the delicious food, we spent a lot of time talking and having fun. The last menu that we must make regularly is Thai desserts. Every Thai barbecue restaurant must have desserts to serve customers. After we had the staff come and take the stove away. It was time for our very delicious desserts. After eating our fill and paying, we will continue our trip to Patong Beach where the event is being held. See you in the next post.
