A Taste of Durian in Old Phuket Town!

The bustling streets of Phuket Old Town were alive with the sounds of street vendors, tourists, and locals going about their daily lives. My husband and I had just bought a school uniform for our son, who would be starting his first day of school in just a few weeks. As we strolled along, the heat began to get to us, and we decided to stop for a cool drink at the "DURIANISM CAFE". I was excited to revisit the cafe, as I had been there once before and fallen in love with their durian ice cream. The cafe focused on drinks and food that contained durian, a tropical fruit with a pungent smell and creamy texture. As we walked in, the aroma of durian hit us, and we knew we were in the right place. I eagerly scanned the menu and ordered the durian sticky rice ice cream, while my son, who was feeling a little homesick, ordered chicken nuggets. My husband opted for a cup of coffee, which he sipped slowly as we waited for our orders to arrive. The cafe was cozy and inviting, with bright green walls and comfortable chairs. It was clear that the owners had put a lot of love and care into the space, and it was the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some delicious treats.

When our orders arrived, I dug into my durian sticky rice ice cream, which was even better than I remembered. The creamy, sweet flavor of the durian blended perfectly with the chewy, sticky rice. My son's chicken nuggets were crispy and flavorful, and my husband's coffee was strong and rich. We spent about an hour at the cafe, enjoying our treats and chatting about our plans for the upcoming school year. As we left the cafe, we continued our walk through Phuket Old Town, taking in the sights and sounds of this vibrant part of the city.
