My friend and I haven't seen each other for 12 years even though we keep in touch via Facebook, we don't talk much because we both have our responsibilities. Yesterday evening, she came to me and said she was vacationing with her boyfriend in Phuket and wanted to meet me. I was surprised because she never told me she was going to Phuket. She and her boyfriend were staying at a hotel near Patong Beach. After hearing this good news, we arranged to meet up. I picked her and her boyfriend up from the hotel and went to have lunch together at "Lob Moom", a restaurant on the hill in Patong.

Along the way, we had a nice chat and talked about the past. This restaurant is located on a high hill in Patong. When we arrived, we were amazed by the natural beauty. The restaurant is made of a small pavilion with grass roofs arranged around a large pond behind it are mountains and shady trees.

Inside the large pond, there are lotuses and schools of large fish swimming around, adding beauty to the area.

We chose the pavilion closest to the walkway and then ordered our food. They serve both Thai and Western food. My friend and I ordered spicy food, including Somtam, Seafood Salad, and oysters. My friend's boyfriend and my husband, who are foreigners, can't eat spicy food, so they ordered non-spicy food.

When the food was served, we ate it with great relish and chatted happily, asking about each other's well-being. She said that she didn't tell me in advance when she came to Phuket because she wanted to surprise me.

After we had our fill of food, we walked around the restaurant area where there was a wooden bridge extending into the water we had a lot of fun taking pictures. My friend told me that she and her boyfriend were staying in Phuket for a 5-day vacation and before she and her boyfriend left, she wanted to meet up with me and my husband again. So we made an appointment to meet up again in 2 days. Today we spent the most valuable time together after not seeing each other for 12 years.
