"A Perfect Day at 'Coming Home' Cafe"

Today began like any other day, yet held a promise of unexpected joy. At precisely 9:00 a.m., my husband and I set out for Phuket Immigration, situated conveniently near Saphan Hin Public Park. The process of renewing our visas was astonishingly quick, a breeze made even easier by the drive-through service, allowing us to stay comfortably in our car.

With our renewed visas in hand and the entire day ahead of us, we noticed the weather was exceptionally inviting. The sky stretched out in a perfect azure canvas, untainted by clouds, and the air was refreshingly crisp. We exchanged a look, silently agreeing that such a splendid day shouldn’t be wasted.

“Let’s go to ‘Coming Home’,” I suggested, referring to our favorite seaside café on Rawai Beach. My husband smiled, nodding in agreement. We had visited this charming spot numerous times, always finding comfort in its warm atmosphere and delightful food.

These round windows were a popular spot for customers, offering a stunning view of the sea. Given the early hour and the absence of many other patrons, it was the perfect opportunity to capture the beauty of the café without interruption.

After taking photos, I noticed that the sea level had receded, exposing a stretch of sandy beach. Intrigued, I walked closer and discovered a fascinating sight: hundreds of small crabs scuttling across the sand. These tiny creatures darted around, their homes marked by small holes scattered across the beach. As I approached, the crabs quickly retreated into their burrows with impressive speed. Despite their small size, each crab sported one oversized claw, almost comically large compared to their bodies. I had no idea what species they were, but their cuteness was undeniable.

Returning to our table, I found my husband already enjoying his drink, a look of contentment on his face. We shared our meal, savoring each bite and the peaceful surroundings. It took us a long time to finish our food. Today’s perfect weather allowed us to truly relax and enjoy each other’s company, a rare opportunity amidst our usually busy lives. “Coming Home” offered more than just a meal; it provided a setting for valuable, shared moments.
