A Nostalgic Trip to Don Muang: Revisiting Familiar Places and People.
After a long day of traveling, I finally arrived at the hotel where I would be staying for the next few days. I was excited to see my younger sister and her daughter, as well as other relatives who I hadn't seen in a while. We all planned to meet up in the evening for dinner and catch up on each other's lives. We walked around the area and eventually found ourselves at a bustling market that was filled with all sorts of delicious food options. I had worked at Don Muang School, which was located in this area, for about seven years before moving on to other things. I was very familiar with this part of town and knew of many great restaurants to visit. I remembered a restaurant nearby that I used to frequent, and suggested we go there. We sat down and ordered fish porridge, noodles and continued with some ice cream for dessert. The ice cream shop was owned by the same person who had run it when I used to work in the area, and the taste was just as amazing as I remembered.
As we finished our meal, we couldn't help but notice the abundance of durian shops that had popped up all around the market. Durian, a tropical fruit known for its strong odor and unique taste, was in season, and the market was filled with vendors selling all sorts of durian products. My sister and her daughter were intrigued by the fruit, and decided to buy a large durian to take back to the hotel with them. We walked around the market, enjoying the sights and smells, before finally returning to the hotel.
