The teacher I will never forget (For all the wrong reasons)

(Edited)

Somewhere his memory is still etched in my mind and it came as a flash at the sight of this engagement. For reasons still not very tangible he just wasn’t that teacher that makes me tick.

I am not the type to have issues with my teachers because by default as one of the best students in the class (not to brag), we rarely have issues with teachers except the very difficult ones who would try to find faults no matter how hard you try.

Maybe it’s his name. First, the name doesn’t sound right and from the onset of introduction to the class, there was something off about him and the name. Obialor, as he was called didn’t just sit well with me.

It could it be because he had bald hair. Well, I couldn’t help but wonder why a young man would have bald hair or choose that as his type of hair style. He literally shaved off all his hair and have it shinning in the day and night. That was off.

Or could it be the fact that he walks on his toes. Now that seem awkward. You literally would be watching him drift around school walking on his toes. I always wondered how someone could walk like that.

Oh my God! Could it be because he was always armed with that awful cain and would always flog the hell out of my class mates. He never clogged him but he was known for his wicked flogging. When he is flogging you, you would think that you are in a fight against his destiny.

Or maybe because he never smiled. He was quite intelligent, I would give that to him but why was he never smiling. He had this serious look on his face all the time and I can’t recount if I ever saw him smile. When I see him coming, I divert to a different route. Our paths do not cross.

Hmmmm, it’s no one else other than the famous mathematics teacher. I hear a lot of stories about them and how tangy they can be from school to school. I’ve read commentaries from students about their teachers or the ones they have issues with the most and somehow, all fingers always points to the maths teacher.

In this case, my mine wasn’t an exception. I personally feel something is always wrong with those set of teachers and do I even mention that they are the most changed throughout my entire time as a student.

I had so many maths teachers that I lost count. Each of them with their own Wahala and wickedness and the frequent changing of the maths teacher left me with a very poor foundation in Mathematics. They didn’t ever seem to get all their strings together.

For some reason, maths teacher just find a way to stress students. I don’t even know why they do that. But then it also kind of helped us be who we are today and that’s a fact.

Hmmm, I can’t even say that for myself because the incessant changing of our maths teacher made us not learn anything at the end. The result is bad mathematics foundation
