Thank you

Tonight is one of those nights I feel like saying thank you. Thank you for the love, thank you for the support, thanks for the care and everything. My family has really done a lot for me in the past and when I think about all that I see more reason to forgive anyone of them and not hold grudges against them. In this world, I've found out that being social and having good relationship with people encourages them to open up to you on their personal issues or experiences depending on the level of trust you've created over time with them.
I've also found out that some people don't really open up to you based on trust or relationship but maybe based on emotional or spiritual levels.
I started noticing this when I started taking my relationship with God seriously but not that I was portraying my life as a pastor, in fact one can hardly differentiate me from other guys when we're together chatting except for the fact that I don't agree with them on things that goes against my belief in God.

I have made it a point of duty to be free and associate with anyone who welcomes my presence and for that reason, I have a lot of friends even though not all of them are believers but why I didn't want to isolate myself as a believer in Christ is because when Christ was on earth, he didn't didn't isolate himself too neither did he claim that he is holy.
One of the most inspiring thing about his ministry is that many times he was seen in the mist of them which the society has labeled to be bad and terrible though all this added to the hatred they had for him but I believed that at those moments he was gradually penetrating the hearts of those acclaimed sinners with the gospel of truth, for that I'm thankful.
The fact that Jesus fasted for fourty days and fourty nights yet chose those who do not proclaim themselves to be Saint but the twelve who are more like outlaws, warriors and impatient people but then these men were able to carry the gospel across nations.

Seriously come to think of it, Jesus didn't chose the pharisees who consider themselves holy and are learned by the law but he chose somebody like Judas who is a thief and also the one who carries the groups money bag. He's just like one called the treasurer of a group today even though he's known to be a thief. This reminds me of an adage in my area which says, if you want what you're leaving behind to be safe, leave it in the care of the one you know that can steal it by that way he knows if it gets lost he may have to replace it.
Also what about the two sons of Zebedee who told Jesus to call down thunder and lightening upon a city that rejected them from preaching the good news for the it to be destroyed but Jesus declined.
There is also Thomas who after staying with his master for long and seeing all his good works still doubted.
There are many more examples if time permits to go on but I'm thankful that Jesus proved men wrong for he has declared he came for those who are not perfect and has used those that are imperfect and almost useless to set an everlasting standard on earth except for the one who killed himself. Even the one who was once a blind judge and a killer preached the more after his conversation.
Even till today, the gospel if Jesus keeps coming not to those who declare themselves righteous and perfect but to them who has lost hope and anything good, those who are not righteous according to God's standards.

In everything we thank God and I remain thankful not only for only the good things of life but I'm thankful for even the bad things which has in turn encouraged us to be stronger, smarter and tougher. I also thankful for having a social group as hive were there are beautiful people and were ideas and thoughts can be shared without imposing anything anything on anyone and most of it all I'm thankful for the birth of Jesus Christ whom the world will soon be celebrating in two weeks coming.
