One amongst many other myth that needs to be debunked is the belief that masquerades are solely embodiments of fear and malevolence. I've lived in different rural areas where masquerades are being celebrated.
The ones I've seen, they all have spiritual inclinations attached to them.
Although it's not supposed to be so but traditionalist end up making it like that.
