What is love?
Unconditional, understanding, and selfless, are just a few of the things love is supposed to be. Easy to get into but not so easy to maintain or fall out of. I see a lot of married people, or people that have been together for so long and I wonder about all the sacrifices they have had to make for each other. Paths changed, doors closed, opportunities missed out on, I look and wonder "What is so special about love? And why would you do things you wouldn't normally do just to make the other person happy, or to keep them safe?"
If you ask around no one can really define what true love is, at least true unconditional love. Sure they are things that contribute to love, like certain traits, or looks, or qualities, but then if those are all the basis does it really mean the love is unconditional? Will you stay if the looks were to vanish? Those are the type of questions I ask myself. But then with true love all that doesn't really matter. With true love, there's just this urge to want to be there for that person no matter what, to want to put a smile on their face every day and never see them sad. There are days when the person will get under your skin and annoy you, but you just let it slide and sometimes even start to enjoy it.
Writing this was a bit hard, It's safe to say that is majorly because I'm not a love type of person. As a result, I don't see any single person that ticks all of these boxes for me at the moment, but there are a large group of people who do, and that is my family.
They get on my nerves almost every day, but even upon that, I would still do anything in my power to make them happy. I have no explanation for why I do the things I do for them but I just keep doing them. And that smile it puts on their face is reward enough for me.
I'm sure they love me too because they have done some things for me that I'm sure can only be love. Can't explain what it is, but love is wonderful.

Sharp bro lol, well it is indeed a fact that love is very easy to fall into but to falling out takes heaven and earth and you are very correct family is best definition of love and as you said getting under your skin is mostly certain but with that because of the love they have for you and you have for them you just keep making them happy which also makes you happy in the long run...
True unconditional love can only be found in family and I doubt if one were to fall in love with external features one day that love will fade away bro... Thanks for the beautiful write up bro....

Love is many things but as you said if it is unconditional then some traits and qualities should not matter. For ones family if does not and that love is unconditional most often. Love is indeed different things for different people. However we can all agree that it is wonderful.

There's no love kinda person in this world. Love is an attitude imbedded in everyone, we just have to find a way to develop. It can be developed at will because it's not a feeling....

I think in a general sense saying you ain't a love kinda person is wrong. Everyone has the ability to love deeply when they meet their perfect soul. Although some never get to experience it.

Thanks eagle man. Though this is the case a lot of the time, we have a few times when the family is not in love.
Describing love seems a hard topic to explain because it's a matter of feelings and it's difficult to say in words. I think If we wanna feel the pure love, we can feel the love of our parents for us.
Yeah you're correct, it's not an easy topic to cover. The love of the parents is one of the purest forms of love.
Indeed love means different things to different people. In most cases it's hard to define. However, when you love someone or people, you can go out of your way to do something for them or overlook their flaws, just as the type of love that exists between you and your family.
