Reminiscing about the journey so far

Today I decided to do some decluttering and clear up some things, after that I'm not sure how I found myself doing the same on my profile. I decided to go through some of the inactive accounts I was following and unfollow them. As I scrolled down to do the unfollowing, the entire process took me down memory lane.

I remembered a lot of the accounts I met here during my early days on the platform. A lot of them just sort of fazed out of my memory, some I remember when they became inactive, some I just realized they were no longer showing up on my feed. I don't think there was any point in time where I have ever been able to consistently write daily for up to two weeks straight but somehow I have found a way to always be here. It surprises me really. I remember during my first weeks when I thought I wouldn’t fit in here cause I didn’t know anything I could consistently write about and I believed I stood no chance, but somehow here I am, almost four years later still somehow contributing to this platform with my intellectual property. I have taken a whole lot of breaks In the time I've been here, but tbh that doesn't matter because as long as I'm here I'm here.

During my time here I've learned a lot of things, made a lot of friends and grown as a person. Especially that last part. I'm really amazed when I look back at how different I was when I wrote my first post and now. The difference is as clear as night and day. Safe to say I've spent most of my coming of age years as a hiveian.

I'm not sure what prompted this reflection, but I'll be sharing some of the things hive has taught me about life.

Hive has taught me that consistently chipping away at a task will yield far greater results than one can fathom. Raindrops make the ocean so keep adding drops.

Hive has taught me that having the right people around you is an underrated gem. Having the right people as your friends can have a very great impact on your life. I know it has impacted me greatly.

Like everything with life, there have also been negatives, but I'm only focusing on the positives tonight. Rest assured they greatly outweigh the negatives.

Right now it's all about continuing with daily growth. There's a lot to be learned and to be shared here. And while there's still lots of room for improvement, hive is my home when it comes to web3 and like I do with my physical home, I will decorate it.
