Why it's always good to kick off farming on time ones the rain starts
Hello hive
Farming kicks off the moment the rain starts falling except in the case of irrigation farming and even at that farmers still need a good water source to tap from at that time , some crops need to wait a little long for the rain to hit a consistent level but maize crop do not need that once the rain falls three to four times that's a go for farmers to hit the farm especially if we need the crop as quick as possible which means that while some farmers might just start clearing their farms others are more than a month into the work like the saying time is precious and farmers have to make the most of it, if harvesting is done early enough then there is a chance for second planting before the rain stops for that year.
While all this makes a lot of sense it comes with a little hitch sometimes and that is because of the rainfall for the year not always being predictable as things may just not go as planned and the rain might stop for even a month after the first, second or even the third rain and by then we probably might have plant already which will the seedlings at risk because the ground will be dry and weather also might be hot we can't say if these changes are as a result of the climate change but we have to find a way to adapt to the weather as time goes on.
