Process of removing my maize from the comb after harvesting

avatar

HELLO HIVE

Maize that was harvested from my farm some few months ago is now going through the last process before bagging it, the work had been placed on hold for a while now but because of some signs of insects pest in it I have to do the needful to prevent any damage happening to what i have put all this months of hard work into, these pest have already inflicted some damages already which is why i can't waste any more time.

The process is done gradually using a manual approach because of the cost of doing it using machines but of the two the machine is more easier and faster, manual approach requires so more work after the maize has removed from the comb the maize has to be cleaned , agrochemicals have to be applied to it so as to prevent any future problem of insect pest for an extended period then bagging it will follow suit

After removing it from comb I have to filter it to remove some of the dirt that has occurred during the process of removing it from comb, those dirt has to be removed either using a basket or big bowl
I have been into this process for a long period of time
