HELLO HIVE

Manually hand-picking beans is the most simple way of harvesting for anyone new to farming, but it is also the most painstaking and slow harvesting method out there, so it is no big deal when it comes to harvesting beans by hand-picking.

There are no specific techniques other than understanding if the beans we are picking are mature and dry cause not all the beans mature at the same time. Some take longer than others, and harvesting everything together isn't the right thing to do.

It is actually easy to handpick beans, and you, as a farmer, can also have kids join up in harvesting as long as they can identify the matured and spoilt ones from the rest.

Harvesting should be done at your own pace. Just make sure that the beans aren't showing signs of pest infestation since most of the insect activities that we find in beans after it has been bagged are from insects that have penetrated into the pods, while the beans were still in the farm.

This approach is actually the best because you can easily select the spoilt once from good once, and matured once can be separated from the others ensuring we harvest the best quality beans harvest.

I definitely have to grow more beans next year. Do you wait until they very dry on the plant to harvest?
