Lake Lut Tawar in Takengon City, Central Aceh, has never been fully explored by photography connoisseurs. There are many points that can be shot, although my favorite point is the surface of the lake with a mountain in the background that looks like a camel's hump.

I've shown photos with mountain backgrounds before, so I avoid similar points even with a different view.

Participating in training on oil and gas for journalists at a hotel in Takengon, some time ago, I took a friend around on the outskirts of Lake Lut Tawar before having breakfast.

The sun had not yet risen when we stepped out of the Parkside hotel which in my opinion has to be the best hotel in Takengon, by far. We walked along the cobbled paths and took pictures of some of the places we found interesting.

Arriving at the edge of the lake, the sun began to shine warmly. Its silvery rays reflected off the surface of the lake. When taking pictures with the gadget, the result makes the photo black and white. Some photos look natural black and white so there's no need to convert them again. This is different from some photos that are taken in color and then edited to become #monomad.

At a cafe located on the outskirts of Lake Lut Tawar, I saw several journalists enjoying coffee there. I also tried taking pictures of several points and the result looks black and white, maybe because of the influence of sunlight on the surface of the lake.

This is how it turned out. Some photos do have to be changed to black and white because the greenish color of the mountain is still visible. But even that change does not reduce its beauty. Thank you very much.[]

Hitam Putih yang alami di Danau Lut Tawar

Danau Lut Tawar di Kota takengon, Aceh Tengah, tidak pernah habis diekplorasi bagi penikmat fotografi. Banyak titik yang bisa dibidik, meski titik favorit adalah permukaan danau dengan latar belakang gunung yang terlihat seperti punuk unta.

Saya sudah pernah menampilkan foto berlatar gunung sebelumnya, sehingga menghindari titik yang serupa meski dengan view yang berbeda.

Kegiatan mengikuti pelatihan tentang minyak dan gas bagi wartawan di sebuah hotel di Takengon, beberapa waktu lalu, saya mengajak kawan berkeliling di pinggiran Danau Lut Tawar sebelum sarapan.

Matahari belum terbit ketika kami keluar dari hotel Parkside yang menurut saya menjadi hotel terbaik di Takengon, sejauh ini. Kami menelusuri jalan berbatu dan memotret beberapa tempat yang kami anggap menarik.

Sampai di pinggiran danau, matahari mulai bersinar hangat. Sinarnya keperakan memantul di permukaan danau. Ketika memotret dengan gadget, hasilnya membuat foto menjadi hitam putih. Beberapa foto terlihat hitam putih alami sehingga tidak perlu mengubahnya lagi. Ini berbeda dengan beberapa foto yang dipotret berwarna kemudian diedit menjadi #monomad.

Di sebuah kafe yang terletak di pinggiran Danau Lut Tawar, saya melihat beberapa rekan wartawan sedang menikmati kopi di sana. Saya pun mencoba memotret beberapa titik dan hasilnya terlihat hitam putih, mungkin karena pengaruh cahaya matahari di permukaan danau.

Beginilah hasilnya. Beberapa foto memang harus diubah ke hitam putih karena warna gunung yang kehijauan masih terlihat. Tapi perubahan itu pun tidak mengurangi keindahannya. Terima kasih.[]
