My name:My identity

I never thought my name had any meaning apart from the fact that it's a biblical name.
I never believed in the saying that names carried meaning and character.
I used to always hear people talk about their names, what they meant, and how they related to them.

I didn't have that much of mine to say perhaps because I never found any reason to know.
After reading posts about people's names and what they meant, I was intrigued and decided to search for the meaning of my name, Lois.

I am Lois Serwaa Mensah but known as Lois by the majority, the main reason I decided to search for the meaning of only that one.
What I saw made my day and gave me an insight into who I am

Guess what I found?
I figured my name means 'most desirable' or 'better'. I realized that it is also associated with a strong and independent woman who is intelligent, creative, and capable of achieving great things.
In Spiritual terms, it signifies strong faith and devotion to God.
People named Lois have a personality of inspiration, a sense of intuition, empathy, care, and selflessness. They are great listeners and have a natural talent for singing and writing.

Reading this made me happy because I saw how it perfectly described me.
It also gave me hope and something to hold on to realizing how powerful the name is. It has changed my perspective on how I see myself and has shown me that, I can do whatever I want to if I put my mind to it and I don't give up just as the name implies.

I never knew names had an impact and significance on people's lives until then.
Names are very powerful and play a major role in a person's life and therefore should be well-considered before being used.
Finding out the meaning of your name can affect you either positively or negatively.

Thankfully mine did so positively and I hope yours did too.
Everyone has a unique name with great meaning and personality and I hope you hold on to that and get back up anytime you fall and realize how powerful you are.
