Joys of Adulting: Embracing the good times
I'd be lying if I said adulting is a smooth sail and barely hard, but I'd be a bigger liar if I said it's all hard times and challenges. There are good times too. There are some joys in adulting and in this write-up, I seek to celebrate and explore the beautiful aspect of adulting.

The first joy I'd like to point out is the ability to pursue independence and personal growth. I believe we all agree that staying with our parents at some point becomes choking; from being called to do the simplest things to being the househelp of the family. Well, adulting gives you a break from all that.
You gain a newfound freedom you've never experienced before. Here, you make your own decisions and navigate the complexities of life. You make mistakes and fail at some point. Even though it's not easy, you begin to discover who you are; find your passions and strengths and weaknesses. You learn valuable lessons and overcome those challenges as time goes on. You begin your journey of self-growth feeling fulfilled and empowered.
Another joy of adulting is the freedom to cultivate meaningful relationships.
As we grow, we meet different people who impact our lives differently. Unlike childhood where we are sometimes restricted in exploring friendships, adulthood gives us the chance to do so. From friendships to romantic relationships, we forge connections that provide us a sense of belonging and inclusivity.
We build a village where we can go to find solutions to our problems and seek advice in difficult situations. These relationships end up becoming the stepping stones and bridges to our various destinations.
As we grow, we tend to take care of ourselves more. We prioritize our health and well-being. We begin to check our diet, exercise more, and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
Yes, adulting comes with its challenges, but its joys can't be overlooked. It's a journey filled with joy, growth and development. Let's endeavour to celebrate this beautiful journey and embrace the opportunities that it brings.
I think it’ll always be a joy in being able to explore as an adult
No restrictions in the kind of friends you make so you make them and then you learn your lessons and you move
That’s where the fun is
Yeah exactly my point
