We Suffer Today because of Our Actions Yesterday

If there has ever been a time when climate change has been more severe, it is now.
We are still facing the repercussions of our actions. Despite various attempts to address the issue of climate change, it feels like no significant progress has been made. We are still struggling with problems such as air pollution, water pollution, and others. We have cut down trees in the name of constructing infrastructure and other things. It will baffle us to know that where I live, there is no single tree available, just recently planted a coconut plant.
In Ghana, the condition is so extreme that, the Medical Association of Ghana has to issued a statement warning citizens about the current environmental conditions in the country. They advise that we should wear nose masks, stay hydrated, and limit outdoor activities to reduce exposure to air pollution.

I think know how the condition might be from your end but over it calls for action from everyone. Is about time we all get involved in front of fighting this menace.
The country has introduced a new tax called the emission tax on cars and I in particular think is not enough, is about time we do away with expiring cars from our roads. Cars that their an emission level shouldn't be allowed into the country. While we wait for governments to make their policies, let's also remember that it does concern us and we must stay alert every day. We can start from our neighborhood by joining in tree planting campaigns.

Hive initiatives in addressing issues have been very helpful because, in moments like this, we are being advised to drink more water. Imagine a community without access to portable drinking water, how would they survive this fight?
Hive boreholes constructed in some communities are truly serving a great course in fighting this difficult situation and we hope the blockchain continues to enrich people with support in addressing world issues.

Yes to all of this. I have some resources for planting free trees!

On your phone, you can download Ecosia search app instead of using Google. Searches there raise funds to plant trees.

If you have a PC, the Microsoft weather app also has a tree planting function, where checking in every day, checking in at certain times, doing certain tasks like answering a quiz about weather, etc., all earn points to plant free trees.

If anyone wants to use my referral code for the org One Tree Planted, you can plant a free tree there: http://onetreeplanted.refr.cc/wrenpaasch (I did at one point earn a t-shirt for referring a bunch of people but that was years ago, full disclosure). With OTP each tree planted is $1 in most parts of the world (it's $2 per tree in parts of Europe) and you can choose where or what program to plant your tree (by country, or for a certain goal like wildfire recovery or urban forestry, or just "where they are needed most" is also an option). To plant the free one, choose which program you want to plant in and change the amount to 1 tree (the default will say 20). At checkout, enter the code in a box and it will subtract the dollar, making it free (you can of course pay for more if you want to).
