Embracing the Artwork..Exploring the Future
.
At first glance, the future appears distant and elusive, but recent shifts in policies have reshaped this perception. These progressive strategies not only hold great promise for advancement but also actively empower the younger generation, enabling them to take charge of their destinies.
The prosperity of any economy hinges on the vitality of its local industries. I've come to appreciate the remarkable impact of recent initiatives aimed at supporting artisans—the skilled craftsmen and women who are the backbone of local enterprises. By providing them with essential training and resources, these policies foster an environment where their creativity can flourish and their businesses can thrive, leading to sustainable growth and development..
In my Ghanaian context, it was believed that only school dropouts are engaged in artisans and the respect for these artisans seems limited.
But can we continue to say this today? Technical skills have now seen their rise in the country. The government has now seen the need to invest in technical training and empowering the youth as well.
The Ghana Enterprises Agency, an agency entrusted the mandate in Providing support and transforming businesses.
The introduction of the Business in a Box project has helped many apprentices to acquire skills set training and start-up kit as well.
My district alone has distributed about 150 start kits to the following trade areas, dressmaking, hairdressing, welders, masonry, Tillers, steel binders and others.
Our aim is to help them reach higher heights in life after completion of their program.
Not only do we offer this training to apprentices but we also support them financially, I'm so happy how my office is changing the dynamics of technical skills in Ghana.
We hope to do more in the years ahead.
For now let us embrace the future and rejoice because there is more Hope.
This is a wonderful policy that'll go on to do well to all artisan and young minds.
