Women, muses for an artist.
Women have been the inspiration for many artists, both in drawings, canvases, music, poems and in all expressions of art.
Whether describing characteristics of women or expressing experiences, heartbreaks, love or relationships with mothers or daughters.
The female figure has been at the centre of many works of art, of the most varied type and during the different periods of history, from classical art to abstract or surrealist art.
Many songs have been written with a woman as their inspiration, and many stories, tales and poems have been written with a woman as their inspiration.
Every work of art, no matter what kind it is, speaks of its characteristic virtues, or also of different experiences lived with respect to it, good or bad.
In the Revello del Toro Museum, there is a very singular mezzanine. A reduced space in the form of two corridors with dim light, where the artist's sketches and drawings are exhibited.
I tried to get as close as possible to them, as many of them were framed and behind a glass case, very well kept.
The painter has made countless sketches and pencil drawings with great detail on the faces of different women, the expressions on their faces are beautiful.
I think he tries to capture that simplicity, but at the same time magic that a woman has, that mystery hidden behind her eyes, that magnetism that attracts.
I also notice that he wanted to capture the sensuality, the elegance, the different profiles and points of view of feminine beauty. It is likely, I think, that for the artist the woman was a big question mark, a mystery to be solved and perhaps he thought that by painting her he could unveil it.
Her eyes, the eyes of these women reflect many things, from that mystery to sadness, joy and strength. I really like to focus on people's looks, because behind them you can see the personality and I think the artist did something similar.
I got the impression that Revello del Toro had the female figure on a pedestal, like something out of this world, something celestial.
He put a lot of detail in every stroke of the pencil and in the curves of the woman's face and body.
I think that behind this attitude of drawing and also painting the woman, because in another part of the museum there are many paintings, there is a great admiration for her, as something difficult to understand and often contradictory.
I see real admiration, yes, and a lot of admiration for feminine beauty, both in her physique and in her personality and soul, and it is demonstrated in these beautiful drawings, which she has done with such precision.
I was surprised to find this in this museum, when I went up to that mezzanine. These are some of the artist's drawings, the ones I found most representative of what women meant to him and how they were the muse in his art.
The whole environment was well lit to protect the works, it was a bit difficult to take pictures because of the reflections of the lights and shadows, but I tried to capture as best I could some of these beautiful works.
Thank you all very much for watching and reading this far, I wish you all a very good Sunday and see you next time.

What an early bird 😃, I got a big surprise with Revello del Toro. The work is very elegant, and although it may seem very classic, it has a lot of personality. I loved this ride. It has been like transiting through another world.
I have read very carefully the text, and I share, seeing the work in small size, what you comment about the looks. However, the work that most caught my attention was this one, Perhaps because among so much beauty I find it has a somewhat disturbing tone.:
Thank you very much for this walk, and happy Sunday @avdesing.
The museum surprised me, because from the outside it looks like a small old house and inside it has so much art that ... There is much more, drawings of dolls, more sketches... much more and there is a floor with works of art that I will bring back, they are absolutely beautiful, also about women but with huge oil paintings!!!!
That work... without a face... disturbing, yes it is!!! Thank you very much .... early bird no? I did it yesterday hahaha
I'm looking forward to the new installments, this one fascinated me.
I'm weird about this one until tomorrow 🤔. It's a lot of hours, maybe not so many. Good Sunday Amonet.
I try to post early and then go out hahahahaha or dedicate myself to other tasks.... deliveries will come... patience!!!!
👋
Ladies have always been an inspiration for art.
What a beautiful exhibition, I love those well-defined faces and penetrating gazes. Beautiful photographs
I appreciate that you let us know about another beautiful exhibition
Have a beautiful Sunday dear friend @avdesing
I loved this exhibition about women but there are more for example about dolls or children... it's beautiful!!! Thank you very much always! Have a great day!
Wow, I think it's an excellent exhibition of works. I love how some of them just seem incomplete or almost like sketches, it gives it some naturalness and freshness to work. It looks amazing!
Exactly! Some are just sketches and they look great!!!! Thank you very much!😃
What a beautiful exhibition. The feminine form is pure beauty. And the male form? Not so much. 😆
It's one of the drawings I liked the most... there is much more of the exhibition. The male one? I like it hahahahaha
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Fantastic work!
Thank you so much!!!😃
It's incredible how many museums and beautiful works of art there are in your city to visit and enjoy the art
Your photographs are really beautiful as always
Have a lovely day @avdesing
Thank you very much @miprimerconcurso 💗💗💗
Everything in this exhibition is subtle and beautiful, you had your muses well studied because in them you can see not only the expression of the eyes, of their faces, also of their figures, of their way of dressing, everything as a whole. Your photographs are always with a level of detail that we also enjoy the exhibition. Thank you @ for sharing. A strong Sunday hug.🤗🥰
In this museum there is so much art and everything is so beautiful, I thought there was not much on display but each floor was a new surprise. Thank you very much always. I love the drawings!😃
Look where my muses were ... and I was looking for them. 😅 I think I really liked the faceless one and I see that someone else liked it too.
That drawing is great, without a face it can be anyone, even you! It reminds me when I used to draw portraits... I think it was a thousand years ago... witches don't have age or we forget about it hahahahaha
😁 Uy, qué miedo!
Go ahead and draw a portrait!

You're a true champion @avdesing! Your efforts to publish a post every day of the week are inspiring. Keep up the great work!
I'll keep up the good work!😃
Muchas gracias Gloria!!😃
Hi, I love your portrait, you look beautiful, nice post my lady.👍👍👍
hahahahaha thank you very much!!!
