Many reflections have arisen in the past Christmas season, it has been a special time, where there were people that I considered my family who were no longer there, but nevertheless, when they were by my side, they have created.

They have created bonds, feelings, emotions. Creation cannot always be felt with the senses, sometimes it is just energy, and in this case good energy.

I had the opportunity to enjoy these people, one in particular, my false aunt, she loved these things that I show you in the photographs. She liked to walk the streets of the city, when she was here and enter every place where there was an exhibition of nativity scenes, I remember it clearly.

That is why today I am presenting you with some photographs that I kept especially to talk about her. I remember the first Christmas she was here and how on one occasion I accompanied her on these tours.

In this case, she could not see with her own eyes this beauty of creation, but I could. I was able to walk through each space and watch those fireplaces burning and giving warmth to a family that was being formed. Each of these works recalls a moment in history, but it also speaks of creation and creation for me speaks of art.

Human life is art and here it is a person or families who have developed each of these cribs with their own hands. She would have loved to go to this exhibition, I know. She was very excited.

The creativity of these people, who are people like you and me, made them put each object in the place that their imagination told them, they were creating, imagining and maybe remembering so many things.

This is not made by machines in series, many of the same, no. This is not made by hands, hands that are hands that are not the same. This is made by hands, hands that sought to create near the fire and the heat of those fireplaces.

Every time I see art, I imagine stories or what the process might have been like and in this case, I think it has been a long time in the making, taking care of every detail, meticulous work and full of passion for what was being done. Someone who makes this kind of art, loves what they do.

My aunt was not an artisan, but she valued these creations, the paintings, the sculptures, and walking through this place, this corner of a museum made me think of her and brought back memories of other times when we walked together near art.

Again, like other times, I appreciate this kind of art, the elaboration of nativity scenes made by hand. The value of art made with hands, sometimes I think, has lost importance or the emphasis is being put on technologies, but in my case my appreciation of handmade art is very high, real art.

These models are not as ostentatious as others I have seen, but in the simplicity I found the pure beauty of the passion of a person who with his fingers places each elaborate piece in the right place to create a beautiful, harmonious and dynamic scene.

The pieces do not move, but they tell a story, a moment, the gestures, the position of the hands, of the things tell a story of something that happened a long time ago and in this way they bring something of yesterday to today. Genuine art full of beauty. She would have been delighted to accompany me and admire so much art, as well as its great significance.
