Malaga has several green spaces throughout the city, but very few with huge extensions.

Huelin Park is a park that has more than 30,000 m2 of extension and in this opportunity we explore almost half of it.

It is located in the neighborhood of Huelin and around the park you can still see the high industrial towers that were in the area several decades ago.

Being so close to the port of the city, the surrounding areas were used in the nineteenth century for factories that had these large towers. They remained in the original places as a reminder and as architecture.

I think that for all that everything around the port was very polluted, because both this park and the Parque del Oeste, which I have previously brought here, were built at the same time, decade of the 90s.

Of all the parks I have visited this is one of the largest so it is one of the large green spaces of the city and in turn has many distinct areas.

In addition, the exterior of the park is decorated and surrounded by jacaranda trees which makes it very colorful in spring.

Its entrance is huge and divides two very marked sectors. On this occasion I decided to go through the right side of the park.

Thus began to draw a number of paths, with beautiful paths full of vegetation, trees and flowers.

I was able to enjoy many green spaces ideal for walks and picnics.

Walking in the shadows of the trees and with views like these is very relaxing.

It is a huge park in the middle of two of the most populated neighborhoods and very close to the promenade.

It is home to numerous species of plants, shrubs and trees. There are also many palm trees and you can hear the trills of various birds.

Sitting under a giant tree like the ones here is very pleasant, but also along the various paths you can see numerous benches to enjoy a good time.

You can see natural flowerbeds where the grass around them is very well cared for and within the flowerbeds there is a lot of vegetation of various colors.

You can feel the freshness in the atmosphere and the sound of the leaves when there is a breeze.

More paths and more paths that often intersect.

One of the most beautiful things about this side of the park is a huge gazebo with an artificial lake around it.

Although I was not able to capture any with the camera, I have been able to see small ducks mingling among the reeds.

On this side there is a beautiful, very rustic wooden bridge. It gives the feeling of being in a Japanese garden.

The views from that bridge and the surrounding lake are beautiful.

Walking a little further I reached the back of that side of the park where I could see a variety of things.

On one side, playgrounds for different ages with very colorful structures and games. On one side there are also places to exercise and do different sports.

There is also a sculpture dedicated to the year of volunteering.

And at the back of the park and in the center there is a picturesque lighthouse, which shone brightly in the sunlight.

Around the lighthouse I could see this very decorative columned structure.

That was the end of this tour so I decided to return by one of the many paths I had not visited, admiring the beautiful pergola in the distance.

I found wide spaces as if they were a square inside the park.

And finally I enjoyed my return in the shade of giant trees and paths full of nature.

An ideal park to take a walk, bring the pets, ride a bike and for children to play, not to mention the possibility of picnics admiring nature.
